A Congratulations Thread

See you know when you beat a game that was very challenging and for whatever reason there are a few people around and those who are really don't care? That is the idea behind this thread, so if you just beat a game and want to mention it to the world then here you go...

I just beat Arc the Lad II, it was a very good game although the ending was very shorter than FF7.

(and to those who find this thread pathetic and want to insult me... whatever.)

I just finished Grand Theft Auto: Vice City less than a week ago. Apparently once you get 51% of the game completed if gives you a new quest back at your mansion. That shit was hard, but I beat it and the credits rolled.

All the quests are done on my game now. I still have a lot of gameplay left if I want to try to get to 100% though. Jumps, hidden packages, rampages, etc.

Final Fantasy X, a few days ago.

Disappointing ending... and a disappointing game in most areas.

I finished Star Wars: KoTOR much faster than apparently a lot of people, which I was surprised at because I felt the game was rather easy. Did all the side quests and everything too, took me about a week or so and I got both the light and dark ending (just save before the temple on the Star Forge planet and you can make a decision from there), so I'm just about done with the game, although I'm interested in playing as a female to see how different or similar it is. And because it's a damn fun game.

Time to laugh: I finally beat Rocky on PS2. For some reason I could NEVER beat the black boxer who wore leopard trunks, but after a grueling 9 rounds, I won, and swept through everyone.

Almost finished with GTA: Vice City. I only have a few missions left but haven't really tried any of the bonus stuff for 100% completion.

Beat Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. Fucking Cackletta. Took a week, 3 hours a day. Overall time as 16:47, I believe. And now, I do battle with the demon game of the X-Box: Enclave.

I'd just like to be praised for the following list of RPGs I've beaten (not really recent, but this IS congradulations thread):

Alundra, Arc The Lad 1, Arc The Lad 2, Arc The Lad 3, Azure Dreams, Brave Fencer Mushashi, Bahamut Lagoon (ROM), Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire 2, Breath of Fire 3, Breath of Fire 4, Brigandine, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon 2, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Crystalis, Dark Cloud, Diablo, Diablo 2, Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku, Dragon Warrior, Dragon Warrior 2, Dragon Warrior 3, Dragon Warrior 5 (ROM), Earth Bound, Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 5, Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10, Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, Final Fantasy: Tactics, Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance, Front Mission 3, Golden Sun, Golden Sun: Lost Ages, Grandia, Grandia 2, Grandia Xtreme, Granstream Saga, Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth, Jade Cacoon 2, Kartia: The Word of Fate, Kingdom Hearts, Koudleka, Land Stalkers, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, Legaia: Duel Saga, Lufia & The Fortress of Doom, Lufia 2: The Rise of The Sinistrals, Lufia: The Legend Returns, Lunar: The Silver Star Story, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Ogre Battle, Orphen, Parasite Eve, Phantasy Star 1, Phantasy Star 2, Phantasy Star 3, Phantasy Star 4, Rhapsody, Robotrek, Romancing Saga Legends (a.k.a. Final Fantasy Legends), Romancing Saga Legends 2 (a.k.a. Final Fantasy Legends 2), Romancing Saga Legends 3 (a.k.a. Final Fantasy Legends 3), Saga Frontier, Saga Frontier 2, Secret of Evermore, Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure), Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana), Seiken Densetsu 3 (ROM), Legend Of Mana (not officially Seiken Densetsu 4, and I'm glad about that), Shadow Madness, Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Skies of Arcadia, Illusions of Gaia (2nd of Soul Blazer series), Terrangima (3rd of Soul Blazer series), Saiyuki: Journey West, Star Ocean (ROM), Star Ocean: The Second Story, Suikoden, Suikoden 2, Tales of Phantasia (ROM), Tales of Symphonia, Thousand Arms, Threads of Fate, Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile, Vandal Hearts, Vanguard Bandits, Wild Arms, Wild Arms 2, and Xenogears.

I'm probably missing a few RPGs, but those right there are the ones I've beaten out of the 100 or so I've played; as long as the ones I'm forgetting aren't there. I mean, I added 10 of those on there because I forgot about them.

*takes the time to count that for the hell of it*

Jesus... I just counted that and that's 111 games. Take that, times by my normal playing time of 30 hours for the game, and that's a total of 3330 hours. Which is 138.75 days. If I also add in the factor of my 20 hour playing time and the extra times I play each game (factoring in some games I've played so many times vs. one time plays) I add another 92.5 days (2220 hours) to the 138.75 giving me a total of 231.25 days spent on playing RPGs.

...wow. I've spent almost 1 year of my life devoted to RPGs. Damn. Yet for some reason, I feel proud. Don't know why I'm proud of the fact, but I am.

I actually finished Half-Life just the other day.....I know, I sort of got on that bandwagon late......but while I enjoyed it, I have to say: this was so not the best game of that year. Or the scariest game of that year. Probably wasn't even the best FPS of that year.

I beat Xenosaga and want to know how long it took me after to make my characters strong enough to beat the final boss? Since 12 in the morning. Want to know how long it me to beat all 4 bosses? ONE Fucking MINUTE, man I'm so pissed right now. :firing:

In contrast the ending was 19 minutes and the entire took me 51 hours to beat. True Arc the Lad II's ending was the shoretest in the world but god damn it, the boss took 3 HOURS to beat (From 12 to 3am).

Now pick up the ol' Xbox. You've got Star Wars: KotoR, Fable, Jade Empire, Kotor 2, Sudeki, Eldar Scrolls 3, LotR: The Third Age, and Arx Fatalis (among others) all either out or will be out anywhere within the next 6-8 months (hopefully). Those oughta keep you locked up long enough to become white as Casper and get pupils as big as saucers.

I beat Super Mario Bros and Final Fantasy IV earlier this week--and while they're really short I beat Sunset Riders and the Simpsons arcade game 3 or 4 times each by myself and with other people.

I'm currently working on my Computer Programming Diploma and no one's fucking hiring me for a little part-time job currently.

So I'm kinda not in the position to play video games at this time or buy anything new.
