The Hot or Not beauty pageant format of the show in not drawing fans so maybe its time to make it into Tough Enough Diva Search: The Search for the Perfect Collection of Tits & Ass.

I think the WWE should put them in a house with only one mirror and one bathroom and watch what happens. Or have them try to solve really complex mathematical equations. Basically, try to out-do Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson.

Maybe to build up interest in that WWE Film with Kane as a horror star, he'll make a cameo and kill a few contestants.

Of course, depending on who it was, that might get him face heat.

I believe we have different definitions of decent.

Clearly.

Define "great", "good" and "bad".

Sunday Night Heat used to do 4's and 3's. Now they hover around 1. That is "bad". Velocity and Experience can't even do that - that's "very bad". Diva search did 1.1 - Heat level. And the Diva search has gotten MUCH more promotion than Heat has AND they have MUCH higher hopes for it and plan to run with it for _months_. The current avg. for Smackdown is about 3.2/3.3 and RAW is 3.7ish (unofficial). How could you still consider the Diva specials number "Decent"? If the "absolute best" number it could have gotten is a 3.7 and the "absolute worst" number it could have gotten is a 0.6, how can it be decent when it is very much closer to "absolute worst"?? ECW did higher numbers fer cryin out loud and that was without promotion from the station or anywhere else and on a Friday night in between Roller Jam and Rock N Bowl and those numbers are _still_ considered "poor".

Great = 5.0+

Good = 3.0+

Decent = 1.0+

Poor = -.9

It is "decent" because ratings for wrestling are down from a few years ago. Heat got those 3s and 4s when the wrestling business was good, but it isn't good right now. Getting a 1.1, during a time when ratings are down, is decent.

How much hype did the show get? I only saw hype for it during Raw and SD!, but that is it. I didn't see any advertisments anywhere than WWE programming. To me, that isn't too much hype.

And Mr. Rudo, does it really matter? I have a different opinion on decent than you do, it is that simple.

Let's compare the two promotions.

XPW run by a man who also is affiated with the porn business

XPW had porn stars as valets or managers for the wrestlers

XPW got hated on for several publicity stunts

WWE has in the past has affiated with "soft porn" companys like Playboy and Girls Gone Wild. And a creepy horny old bastard.

WWE has Divas as valets or managers

WWE has done several tasteless publicity stunts

Majority of the Divas are talentless eye candy who don't know the difference between a wristlock and a wristwatch.

If you ask me the two companies look very similar to me.

It's been going on for a month+ and getting significant airtime on RAW. If anyone cared about it -outside the "regular viewers of all-things WWE"- then it would have gotten a better number. It's pretty simple. I dunno what showing L&O reruns doubling the Diva Search is supposed to mean.

Let's put this into better perspective.

Nitro - in WCW's dying days - was doubling that 1.1. This was post-boom and WCW had gone through a terrible swing of bad booking, storylines and matches in 00. Thunder, as late as January 01, was doubling that number and even managed to beat it in its last days. This was at a time when the company was considered an overwhelming disaster and their parent company was willing to sell them off for under 5 million; their B-show still was pulling in 2.2's as they were filmed _after_ the Nitro broadcasts. The WWE - while having a potential 4.2 fanbase and a certain 3.7 one - couldn't even get HALF of that for this. But it's still "decent"?

And Mr. Rudo, does it really matter? I have a different opinion on decent than you do, it is that simple.

Of course it doesn't matter; that doesn't mean we can't blabber-on about it. A 1.1 rating doesn't "matter" because the WWE has like 8 hours of programming per week, every week. The greater issue here is the DIVA Search. A statement like "that's a decent rating" means that the Diva Search wasn't a complete bomb and a total waste of time, money, effort, and resources. Quite frankly, it was a horrible idea, it has horrible execution, and it will lead to more horrible television. It shouldn't be seen with any sort of optimism because it doesn't deserve it.

And it's also about perception. That rating of 1.1 could be considered absolutely astonishing for a local public-access television show. But for the WWE and their resources? It's bad. I can't imagine that being seen as "decent" because in my view anything under 3.0 is "bad" for the WWE because they clearly have that audience there for their 2 other shows. So why can't they bring that audience to Heat and Velocity and to the Diva Search???

Wrestling fans just aren't interested. I am a hardcore wrestling fan and I could give two shits about the Diva Search and Heat.

Don't you feel the same?

Agreed completely.

But then again, isn't it their job to make us care? Isn't that the exact reason why those shows get the ratings that they get? So the question now becomes: Why don't we care? Why don't they care? What can they do to get us to care? What is stopping them from doing that? Ok, that's 4 questions following 2 other questions. And those are 6 questions more than the WWE is asking themselves.

Bad timeslots, jobber matches, the same boring recaps on 5 or more shows, fire Coach, Al, Hugh Morris, Heindrich, Orton, Bashems, Dupree or give Cena a real finisher, worst week ever.

I can't wait till they have the divas scarf down some bull testicles, Fear Factor style. They can even bring the Rock back and have him crack jokes about how they should eat the BRHAMA bull's testicles.

Why don't we care about the Diva Search? Easy, do you watch wrestling for...

A.

OR

I choose A. I watch WWE for wrestling, not Divas rolling around in their bras.

That is why ratings aren't as good for the Diva search.

We'd rather see bigger stars, which usually bring better storylines and sometimes brings better matches. Plus the fact that storylines move on Raw, not on Heat.

That is why ratings aren't as high for Heat.

Too many people look like HHH. There are several wrestlers with long dirty blond hair. When Xain had his hair cut short he started to look like TEST and even Nash when he was wearing that Fire Pro style siglet.

When they fired Raven and Golddust I quit watching Heat and bad commentary by Coach & Snow did not help much either.

Damn, I've never had a subscription to Playboy, or even bought a magazine (Not above that sort of thing, but hey, I have the net.) And the only Playboy model I can name is Karen Mcdougal, (besides probably a couple from the 60's) just because she's super-cute, and not of the norm for their model types. She's (or to be fair, was, since i haven't seen her in anything in years) far more distinctive looking, and IMO pretty than Carmella.
