Just call me Dan Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 Karen McDougal is gone? BOO! She was also on the E! Wild On host shows and got dropped. IMO, she's fucking gorgeous. Don't really see a place on Raw for her, but I don't really see a place on Raw for any of them.
chaosrage Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 yes. WTF? I'd take her over Carmella any day. And she gets kicked out in the first week.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 yes. WTF? I'd take her over Carmella any day. And she gets kicked out in the first week. I would too... But Vince wants the 2004 PMOTY and not the still much hotter 1997 PMOTY.
strummer Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Definitely agree, Karen is gorgeous. A lot hotter than Carmella.
strummer Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 From Meltzer: "The rating for the Raw Divas special last night after Smackdown on Spike TV was a 1.1."
Styles Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 I'm so excited to know that I'll be at RAW next week in DC and the only thing announced so far is the stupid Diva vote off. I can't wait for THAT to kill 20 minutes. Hopefully the crowd has the good sense to boo the shit out of it...
Shanghai Kid Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Definitely agree, Karen is gorgeous. A lot hotter than Carmella. I think she has a better body, but face wise, Carmella has her beat. http://www.extremefitness.com/showflat.php...es&Number=54276 Carmella would be right up there as hottest diva with torrie/stacy/trish.
chaosrage Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 They're both very pretty but IMO > [insert any Carmella face pic here]
Guest TheJewof2001 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 WWE's RAW Diva Search special on Spike TV yesterday drew a 1.1 rating with a 2 share. That is a decent rating, but I am sure Vince wanted something higher.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 How is that decent? That's barely beating HEAT and the WWE has big plans for this shit.
Guest TheJewof2001 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 The 15th rated cable show gets a 2.3. A 1.1 isn't that far behind, so it is a decent rating. Not great, good, or bad, a decent rating.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 How long have they been promoting the Diva Search on RAW? They expect this to go _the whole summer_. Doing a 1.1 when RAW does (at least) triple that -and is basically a HEAT number-, means there isn't a great deal of interest in it. That's a number that says "The people who always watch WWE programming watched it". There is _no_ momentum to carry this angle (?) through to its conclusion and they'll probably resort to more gimmicky stuff to get it over in the future. I'm thinking they'll work a love triangle between 3 of the contestants and end with a cat fight.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Maybe the Right To Censor can return and end it. I know I'd cheer.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 If I knew or cared about any of the contestants, I'd SO write it (the lesbian drama) out and watch it get stolen. I'd give it a melodramatic narrator and throw in some drug scandal and one of the contestants sleeping with a judge and the aforementioned Love Triangle. Then someones dog dies and you get a "very special episode..." where they all kiss and make up before the final judgement drives them apart. Just make it into a parody because it's already a bomb - so you might as well get SOME value out of it.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 ... and one of the contestants would really be a transexual. The one that slept with Coach. He/She would end up getting killed and there would be a big mystery surrounding it - a "whodunnit", if you will.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 ... and in the end Ogawa comes out and they all HUSTLE! HUSTLE!
razazteca Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 ... and one of the contestants would really be a transexual. The one that slept with Coach. He/She would end up getting killed and there would be a big mystery surrounding it - a "whodunnit", if you will. Lance Storm and Rikishi would be the top suspects.
DangerousDamon Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 ... and in the end Ogawa comes out and they all HUSTLE! HUSTLE! That would be the greatest thing ever.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 "I did it for you Rock. All these white women willing to swallow some strudel. They have STD's! They'll ruin you Rock and make you itch something fierce. Rikishi could not let that happen. So I slept with all the contestants in a screening process. I slept with Mona. Rikishi backed that ass up and got a big suprise. Mona was a dude. I knew Mona wanted to sleep with The Rock and would make a sex tape. Rikishi had to stop that. So Rikishi called up Jimmy Snuka and we took care of it. I did it for you brah."
Guest TheJewof2001 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 I believe we have different definitions of decent.
Guest Coffey Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Val Venis should be involved in this. No, he shouldn't. That would just encourage WWE to push his dead-end gimmick even further instead of trying to make him over and utilize his strengths.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 I believe we have different definitions of decent. Clearly. Define "great", "good" and "bad". Sunday Night Heat used to do 4's and 3's. Now they hover around 1. That is "bad". Velocity and Experience can't even do that - that's "very bad". Diva search did 1.1 - Heat level. And the Diva search has gotten MUCH more promotion than Heat has AND they have MUCH higher hopes for it and plan to run with it for _months_. The current avg. for Smackdown is about 3.2/3.3 and RAW is 3.7ish (unofficial). How could you still consider the Diva specials number "Decent"? If the "absolute best" number it could have gotten is a 3.7 and the "absolute worst" number it could have gotten is a 0.6, how can it be decent when it is very much closer to "absolute worst"?? ECW did higher numbers fer cryin out loud and that was without promotion from the station or anywhere else and on a Friday night in between Roller Jam and Rock N Bowl and those numbers are _still_ considered "poor".
razazteca Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 Val Venis can evovle his character beyond what it currently.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 Here's a way for WWE to bury Val Venis more: Make his character gay, and have him star in adult films with other men. Burial Complete.
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 I think he should be a pathetic shell of his former self and try to hit on the Divas and get completely rejected - but still act like he's hot shit and talk about how him and the godfather and terri runnels used to own the world back in 99. OR they could spoof The Surreal Life 2 with Val as Ron Jeremy, Sable as Tammy Faye, Cena as Vanilla Ice, Jackie as Tracy, Sunny as Trishelle, and Big Bossman as the CHIPS dude. The SurrEal life would fucking own.
AndrewTS Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 Carmella is hot... But isn't there inherently a bit of decreased interest in a potential "Diva" when she's exposed her boobs and meat flaps in a magazine already?
