There was no disagreement. I think it was more along the lines of Brother Love just didn't have the time to devote to Taker so he introduced Paul Bearer during an episode of the Brother Love Show as Taker's new manager.

Brother Love was gone about a month later after Warrior beat him up and destroyed the set.

In storyline terms we are told they have known each other since UT was a kid, and Bearer had an affair with UT's mum which produced Kane. I'm not sure if any of their prior history was made clear when Bearer made his first appearance though.

BTW, in Kayfabe how would Brother Love have controlled The Undertaker? I could understand Paul Bearer controlling him but Brother Love's character was completely different.

I've never really gotten why BROTHER LOVE was his manager, but here's a guess: They signed "Paul Bearer" from wherever, but it didn't fall through in time for the Undertakers debut, so they just stuck BL with him until they could get the two together.

According to his website he didn't even meet Vince about joining the WWF until December.

That shot down my theory...and took a few more rounds while laying down.

Okay, I have a question. Does anyone else remember Undertaker's first name was actually KANE? I swear I use to hear and see the graphic Kane The Undertaker, but since it was the jobber Superstar matches back then I taped over those matches. It didn't last long, but I'm sure his name was Kane. I even heard that Undertaker used the Kane name as something of a tribute to his dead brother. Could the angle been in the works from the start? I also thought Ted Dibase actually said Kane the Undertaker at Survivor Seris, but the CHV version he does not say Kane. Wasn't that edited out?

I saw the PPV live back in 1990, and Dibiase says "The Undertaker". But yes, I've heard that he was announced for a week or two as "Kane The Undertaker", but don't have matches on tape to prove 100% right.
