I just saw a sneak preview of Bourne Supremacy today. 3 stars out of 5.

It was a decent way to spend 2 hours of my time. Ive seen similar movies that were a lot better though. The action was pretty good but the story seemed a bit lacking to me. The ending really sucked I thought. It didn't seem to fit with the rest of the story very well.

All in all I would call it a slightly above average movie. Dont know if I would pay $8 for it though. Anyone else seen it?

Is Bourne Supremacy worth seeing if you buy the new Bourne Identity dvd and get the free pass?

I can't wait for Supremacy. I liked the books and I enjoy the movies.

I read somewhere that they stripped the whole storyline from the book and came up with a totally different storyline for the movie, but kept the name nonetheless.

I'm a Ludlum fan, and I was pissed about the first movie when it came out...so many changes, so I have no clue how would they make Bourne Supremacy. But over time, I just treat the movie and the books separately.

They probably gonna make a trilogy, with the third named Bourne Ultimatum...naturally.

The plot summary on IMDB lists something about the murder of the Chinese vice-premier being carried out by "Jason Bourne," but that's how the book begins. Nothing in the trailers indicates that this will follow the book. I didn't mind the first movie updating the book, since we don't live in a Cold War world anymore, and people like Carlos the Jackal would be much more easily dealt with in these times than in 1976.

For those who are fans of the book, there was a two-part TV movie made in 1988 that follows the book storyline pretty faithfully. I tracked it down on Amazon, and while it's not as good as the Matt Damon version, it's still true to the book and tells a good story because of that. It stars Richard Chamberlain as Bourne, and Jaclyn Smith as Marie. As shocking as those castng decisions might be, I never really noticed them when watching the movie.

Hmm...that's probably one of my reason being not too crazy about the big screen version...because of the tv movie. Furthermore, I always envisioned Jason Bourne to be around Chamberlain's age...Damon's bit too young IMHO.

I realised that the events in the book are so...outdated. In spite of my bias towards the big screen version, I marked out when they recruit various assassins to track down Bourne...just like in the book.

Just got back from Supremacy; it was a good movie. Nothing earth shattering, but if you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

I have a weird history with these movies. Despite being mildly interested in them at best, I've seen both of them on their opening nights out of some random events. That said, I enjoyed this a lot. Another scenery-chewing role for Beloved Character Actor Brian Cox, and one thing I really admired: absolutely minimal CG. Everything felt very physical, grounded, and real, and I think the director managed to transcend a pretty conventional script. Nothing I'll be remembering in 5 years, but still a good time.

I liked Supremacy, but I think the first movie was better

I saw it earlier this afternoon. This one was probably even with the first one. I liked how the suspense was created early and maintained throughout the entire movie. The fight scenes were done differently, and were a little too kinetic and hard to follow as a result. But definitely good stuff. Review coming in a day or two.

I watched the first half hour on break today.

HOLY SHIT, does Franka stay dead throughout the film? Or was it a SWERVE?

I liked how everyone from the first movie came back. To me, that really makes a sequel work

You weren't surprised when that happened, were you? I saw it coming a mile away

Did anyone get the free movie ticket with the new dvd? If so, could you let me know what the expiration date was on the ticket?
