Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 23, 2004 I'm pleasantly surprised the Regal match is on there because it was about a billion times more important to Regal's career than Benoit's.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2004 That's weird if you guys can't get it yet, while it's been available here in Australia a few days, especially since we're usually about a month behind the US when it comes to DVD releases. Pritchard's commentary on the Pillman memorial match is pretty good, so is Cole's for that matter, although they don't really call the match, they more or less put Benoit and Regal over as the consumate workers while ignoring the play by play. I'm not sure about this DVD but in Canada we get WWE DVDs signifigantly later than in the States. The Blockbuster Video across the road from me told me yesterday that they'd have it in this Tuesday. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2004 (edited) *head explodes* Jesus Christ that was so brilliant I don't think you realize how insanely, head blowingly brilliant that was. *edit* Wait.. no... I was thinking of Gerbils. My bad. It came *this* close to being the greatest thing ever written by man. Edited July 23, 2004 by RavishingRickRudo
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 23, 2004 I'm pleasantly surprised the Regal match is on there because it was about a billion times more important to Regal's career than Benoit's. It was probably the last, truly great pure wrestling match Benoit has ever wrestled, along with the Owen tribute. In terms of major league wrestling, I'd call them the last two great wrestling matches. I remember a little bit of boring chants, as Regal came in with very little hype to him. They did the first set of lock-up sequences, with them busting out the stiffness and the crowd wasn't really sure how the match would end up, but it built fucking beautiful from there. Guest SpiderFan Report post Posted July 23, 2004 I found a copy at Sunrise Records for $29.99 Canadian. I was surprised when I saw it, since the Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Bloodbath: Cage Matches and Monday Night Wars DVD's didn't come up here 'til a few months after their release in the US. LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2004 You mean the tryouts he had in '95 when he was being courted by both WWF and WCW? Too bad they couldn't stick the one he had with Adam Bomb on there. That was when DiBiase came out with him and he was rumored to debut as Ted's "Corporate Crippler" or somthing similar. Ya, I remember that. Pro Wrestling Illustrated reprinted its article about that a few months ago in a recent issue.

algrim 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2004 Guys, Coffey was right on the money. At Walmart, I saw the Benoit DVD for $18.88, along with the GAB DVD (ugh) for $15.88. With tax, it came out to $20.43.
Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 24, 2004 I hit every Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, FYE and Suncoasts within a 20 mile radius and none of them have it. However I did pick up Backlash for 14.98 at Wal-Mart. The funny thing? Suncoast was selling them for 26.98.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted July 24, 2004 I called the local Wal*Mart and other stores, all told me it would be out Tuesday. I'm either going to Best Buy or Wal*Mart for it as both have the better listed prices for it right now...we'll see if either decide to hold it on sale Tuesday. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2004 My Wal-Mart had it and GAB. Pisses me off because they didn't get Judgment Day or Bad Blood before, and left off with Backlash.
Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 24, 2004 sounds to me that Wal-Mart just recently started selling WWE DVDs. Because I haven't seen any DVD's older then the Backlash dvd.

Guest Champ Report post Posted July 25, 2004 The DVD is out here in Canada as well, which I'm shocked since usually there is a two-month delay with the release of DVD's.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Goddamn I need this. Extras sound decent enough and for only 20 bucks, this is a steal. I should have my copy by the end of the week at least.

Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 25, 2004 I'd find it funny if he lost the tooth in a completely bizzare fashion like falling down the stairs, something that would take away that "tough" aura.

Guest SoZe Report post Posted July 25, 2004 After seeing the news yesterday about it being delayed, I got home and saw people saying they had found it at Wal-Mart. I had looked for WWE dvd's there before, to no avail, so, I was hesitant. I remembered that my local wal-mart had just closed, and a new super wal-mart had opened about 15 minutes away. At 12:32 a.m I went out there certain that I would return dissapointed. However there it sat in the new release section, I had to take a deep breath, and try not to smile like a damn fool. I just watched the J-Cup matches, and the original commentary is intact, the dubbed versions are the alterates, if you click on the match it is the japanese commentary by default. And let me just say, that Benoit-Sasuke match, is my new soul mate.
