TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Yankees... Jason Giambi Felix Heredia That's pretty much all.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted July 25, 2004 9. Kent Hrbek. Retired at 34. Throwing runners off of first base with a back body drop-esque maneuver in the World Series and then tagging them out is a young man's game.
JasonX 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 You're still missing my point though. Nobody thought Giambi would fall off so quickly and the Yankees certainly wouldn't have given him all that money if they'd suspected he had peaked. Did one person say it was a bad move because he was 30 when they signed him? Everyone thought the Yankees were getting the Giambi who was the AL MVP. Truely great players keep producing and an MVP caliber player like him should keep producing at an all-star level well into his 30's No but there is a great deal of karma of Giambi falling to bits upon going to New York given the way that he fucked over the As and his fans by going to the Yankees and becoming their Meterosexual Poster Boys for Players Who Chop Off Their Balls once they join the Evil Empire.... JangoFett4Hire 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 I would think that Giambi's sharp decline of production would have a lot to do with his um... off season cut-down on the intake of fast food?
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2004 I think it has more do to with an increased intake of parasitic worms.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Mets --- 1) John Franco ---- I can't remember the last time this guy had a scoreless inning. He's 43 years old and has an era of almost 6. Please retire NOW John. 2) Mike Stanton ---- This guy, if possible has been worse than Franco. You look at his ERA and say "thats not too bad". But what the ERA doesn't show is WHENEVER this guy comes into a game with runners on base, it's pretty much a guarantee that all runners WILL score. He's godawful and Art Howe keeps putting him out there. 3) Jason PHillips --- After such a promising season last year, this guy is barely hitting over .200 and every big situations he is you know he WILL NOT come through. (Example - Bases loaded 1 out, PHillips at bat, 9 out of 10 times he will hit into an inning ending double play. The guy is so slow that if he hits ground ball and the fielder bobbles it 23 times, PHillips still can't beat out the throw. Added Bonus: Kaz Matsui ---- Finally hitting a little bit now, but leads the majors by far in errors and can't even field a ball backhanded. This is the freakin guy the mets move their future superstar shortstop out of position for. What a joke
Cartman 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Red Sox: 1. The Fans - Overrated when labeled "The most intelligent fans in baseball". 2. The Media - Feeding off the fans' stupidity and adding to it. 3. Terry Fucking Francona - Grady would have this team 6 games better than the Yankees right now.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Blue Jays: Kerry Ligtenberg Bob File Chris Woodward The two pitchers have been awful. Ligtenberg needs to retire. Woodward has been a mediocre-to-poor SS for far too long now.
Dogbert 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 Toronto Blue Jays: 1) Kerry Ligtenberg, for reasons already touched on. 2) Carlos Delgado. He had the chance to do the right thing and leave town so the team that has given him everything he has could save some money, and he refused. Thanks so much, Carlos, for your selflessness. As Scott Taylor said, there's a lot less pressure making 17 million bucks off of a non-contender than a contender. 3) Chris Woodward. The supposed shortstop of the future for Toronto, he's played himself out of the lineup and is a step away from AAA. When the "shortstop of the future" is being outplayed by two has-beens and never-weres (Frank Menechino and Chris Gomez), you know there's a problem.

When the "shortstop of the future" is being outplayed by two has-beens and never-weres (Frank Menechino and Chris Gomez), you know there's a problem. Woodward was never more than a placeholder. The Blue Jays are grooming Russ Adams, currently in AAA Syracuse.
