Moore vs. O'Reilly

Just go read PNAC which is signed by Rumsfield, Cheney and many others that specifically say they wanted to go in and invade Iraq,(note the letter is from 1998) however it would be necessary for a modern day pearl harbor to be able to sway the public support for such a thing......Also note there is little to nothing concerning Al Qaeda in their letters of concern until recently. It seems pretty obvious there was a concious effort to go into Iraq before even Bush went into office, and they were just biding their time until they got another republican in office.

Of course we ignore the similar letters from Kerry, Kennedy, Graham, Albright, etc of the time.

Democrat quotes on WMD

And then there's this, which was also signed by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld critic and 911 commission star extraordinaire Bob Kerrey

First off... using 'davidstuff.com' as a reference is pretty funny because it's quite possible that the quotes listed are phony, mix and matched, or taken completely out of proportion or context , though yes, several of those quotes I have read before.

Also, I hope you are aware that Iraq WASN'T ignored back in the 90's and military action was taken several times, but we do seem to live in the Republican Revisionist History era so whatever

And everyone knows the Democrats went along with Bush and believed Iraq had WMD! So did I! Jesus, it's like this is NEWS that we haven't heard before.

What we're arguing with now is a) the evidence that was ignored b) the blind ignorance of the administration leading up to the war and c) the mismanagement of the war effort and the occupation and d) taking our eye off of the terrorists by shifting military focus to a country that had nothing to do with 9/11

So were they phony when you read them? Let's say even if they were, NOTHING ever said by Bush has EVER been taken out of context or blown out of proportion (i.e. bring it on) right?

And everyone knows the Democrats went along with Bush and believed Iraq had WMD!

So in 1998 when Bush was the gubna of Te-has he was actually the one filtering the info to Kerry, Albright and everybody, okay. Or actually Papa Bush took the capitol hostage and demanded everybody agree with him about Saddam's capabilities, yeah that's it. He MADE Kerrey sign that letter!

So you mean:

1)The supposed warnings that were supposed to implemented three years ago and yet now they're "politically motivated"?

2)So you would have 'acted pre-emptively', which is what you bitch about today.......

3)Let's see: Saddam and sons gone, new Iraq will come together ultimately. Yeah that's got mismangement, failure, and Vietnam written all over it.

4)I guess those 70 AQ militants that the coalition killed the other day just really had massive heart attacks or something........And no one said Iraq and 911 were connected but again, nothing ever said be Bush, Rumsfeld, or Cheney's EVER been taken out of context eh?

So anyway, "honey", reign asked, and I answered. That's all...................

Some of those quotes, I have read in actual news stories from credible sources... however, I am much less likely to believe a quote from "davidstuff.com" as opposed to a quote from CNN.com

And of course quotes about and from Bush have been taken out of context... Jesus, if Mike is Captain Irrelevancy, then you are his second in command

Did you learn comprehension in high school?

*sigh*

Well I'm glad to see that you have psychic powers... but may I remind you, that even if things come together eventually, that doesnt change the fact that the entire war effort was mismanaged... shall I pull up the Army WAR COLLEGE report that says the same thing?

And I can't express this enough... No one campares Iraq to Vietnam in terms of body counts... we compare Vietnam to Iraq in terms of mentality, ignorance, and ego

I guess those 70 AQ militants that the coalition killed the other day just really had massive heart attacks or something........And no one said Iraq and 911 were connected but again, nothing ever said be Bush, Rumsfeld, or Cheney's EVER been taken out of context eh?

70?! Jesus Christ! Wow! That's an amazing accomplishment considering Al Qaida has now expanded their forces 25-30,000! Just IMAGINE what we could've done with the billions and billions of dollars we've spent in Iraq if we dedicated that money and troop power to actually, you know, killing the terrorists

And no one said 9/11 and Iraq were connected?? Do you even READ the newspapers?

Dick Cheney... Larry King...

enough... said

And if we're going to assign pet names, may I call you cumsponge?

You two are having like the gayest flame war ever.

Christ, if this was a boxing match it'd consist entirely of limp-wristed slaps.

Actually he's the only one that really wants to fight it (if I really wanted to it would be hella more than 'limp wristed slaps'). But I must apologize, I'll just respond to the points.

I'd like you to point out where in that particular post I said anything about body counts.

And no one said 9/11 and Iraq were connected??

Well I believe the Bush-haters made more of an attempt to use it as a weak slam against him when in fact Iraq and AL QAEDA were as confirmed by your precious 911 commission.

You're right Vyce, some fights aren't worth fighting. This is CE's version of The Rock vs. Billy Gunn. What's next, Gangrel? The Brooklyn Brawler?

I'm shocked that jig didn't unload "Oh no you didn't, girlfriend!" at some point.

Pretty lame attempts at flaming there.
