Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 Here's a pic of the Xrope Styles Clash...I know some were asking (at another board though) so figured those who missed might want to see.

Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 Lol, I know, I was gonna say the best thing about that pic, other then the move was the reaction of the ref and that person in the front row with the black shirt lmao.
Guest Marty2Hotty Report post Posted July 29, 2004 The ref was just doing his job... to react to the high spots of matches, as they usually do.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted July 29, 2004 UPDATE: I shall not be doing the rush this week, on the fact it looks like a horrible show, and I'd rather not sit through it unless I have to. I'm as huge of a TNA mark as anyone, but lately the shows have kinda been bothering me, so no Rush this week. Sorry.
Copper Feel 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 that ending sounds like a piece of crap. kazarians perfect for the x division and im all for a.j styles in the x if it keeps him out of the main event. but i see michael shane as being more of a intercontinential champion. i wonder if theyll take the wwf route with co champions and put them in a triple threat match with somone the fans dont care about.(gleen gilberti). Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted July 29, 2004 I'm betting on an Ultimate X 4-way. Shane, Kazarian, STyles and Jeff hardy.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 I'm betting on an Ultimate X 4-way. Shane, Kazarian, STyles and Jeff hardy. I think with Jeff Hardy seemingly gonna be in the main event scene for a while...we won't be seeing that. But I do think eventually we're gonna get Michael Shane vs Kazarian one on one again...after they turn on each other for the title.

Don't believe that, they WILL NOT give him the title. Course, I said the same thing about Bradshaw.
Just John 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 This is the first TNA ppv I ordered. The matches were fine for the most part, but the only one worth paying for was Ultimate X. The rest were just ok. The promos for the most part were terrible. I did like Raven's until he told Sabu to "quit hiding in the shower... I mean shadows." Dusty was pretty funny with his "Get yo god damn hands offa me!" forcing Mike Tenay to apologize for language. All in all, it was enjoyable, but not something I'll pay to see weekly. Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2004 I'm rewatching the first hour now..because I didn't get to see it fully, and Raven's promo has some funny parts. He picks up the lighter and starts talking into it thinking it was the mic lmao...it just looked funny as hell.
Magus 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2004 the co-champion thing sucks HARD. there's no way they should've done that. Shane and Kazarian shouldn't even be in the X Division, much less co-holders of the title. this was another one of TNA's stupidest moves (they've got so many dumbass moments in history, they could make a DVD of it). I could see this working if they play it a certain way. I think its way to obvious that Shane and Kazarian would start bickering now that they're co-champs. I think they should work the xXx trick and when someone gets an X Division title shot, they don't know which guy they'll be facing until matchtime. give them a few defenses (they'll need it), and then hand the title over to Kid Kash (or at least a more competent spot worker). Styles/Kash is going to be a great fued, so WHY take the X Title out of it? just stupid.
Astro7x 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2004 http://home.comcast.net/~astro7x/ultimatex.wmv (6.7MB - 340 kb/s - 2:37) Just a 17 or so clip recap of the match... nothing fancy, just the big moments and spots.
Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2004 That match looked pretty good. I loved the double DDT(reverse/normal), maybe just because I haven't seen it happen before.. it looked sweet.
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2004 Got done watching Ultimate X. There was some sick stuff in there that probably would've looked even better if it wasn't Kazarian on one end of it. He just has a way of making things look ugly. I'm not even gonna get into the ending. I loved the double DDT(reverse/normal), maybe just because I haven't seen it happen before.. it looked sweet. It is cool, but I've seen them use it several times. Sting at the 1st Anniversary, Raven not too long after that, probably in a Clockwork Orange match, and a few times since.

That..as well as a leg drop at the same time, when he would be facing 3 people or something.
