Feedback-wise, I liked how the tag division was placed in the main event, showcasing how good it's been lately. LPYC wrote SB87/Rick, and I thought it was good. There were a few little things I didn't personally agree with (lack of transitions, the super-long spaces between the counts), but it was good. Rick going to Mexico to work on his flying for Saturday was quite cleverly thought. Everything else was good.

 

Now, I put in the Newswire that all eight first-round matches would be announced on HD, but I forgot to write out a segment to announce them. So, here they are:

 

Hoff vs. Scotty Static

Rick Edwards vs. Nate vs. Mikey vs. SB87

Sly Sommers vs. Cuban Wall

Gunner Sharps vs. Vitamin X

Jay Darring vs. Chris Stevens

LIGHTNING ROUND~!

 

This was a great show. Crystal's promo at the top of the show was a cool "counter" to Zack's at the top of last week's show. Alix and Synth vs. Skulls was WAY better than I had honestly expected, and did a great job of advancing the COD/Saints story. Drek's promo was wicked dark, I loved it. Adam's little wrap-up of the Hoff/Gunner feud was tight, I love summary stuff like that. Gunner proved how dominant he can be in emphatic fashion. LEE MARSHALL? Good, heated promo from Sly. Rick vs. SB87 surprised me, but in a good way. Fun match. LP is still telling my favorite story and the promo with all his guys was great. Cornette and Ventura are funny! Panther seems to have the fire again and that should be a good match at LTP. The 8-man was balls-deep awesome and the ending was coo.

 

Lightning round over, heh. I'll try to write more later but no promises, but if anyone wants any specific feedback I'd be glad to indulge them.

 

And any comments anyone has pour moi and my kayfabe-breaking ass would be welcome.

Great show. I'm too lazy to give detailed feedback this week (shitty excuse, yes) but I loved everything. Didn't expect to see the 8 man Wildcard tag match main event, so that was a nice surprise. Eskimo did an excellent job with that. Great finish.

Feedback time.

 

Crystal's promo was a great way to counter Zack. That's a money promo right there.

 

I'm glad that Hoff decided to use Eddy because I really wanted him to be a character used by other people as well in the counselor position. Good stuff with Eddy being scared and with Hoff rambling on. Oh and great use of the smaller font to show his voice trailing off.

 

Synth/Alix vs. The Skulls was good stuff, casket blowing and all. Is there going to be a Chicks Over Dicks break up because of the Saints? Alix seems to have taken a liking to Synth as KID hates Logan.

 

Drek's promo was incredible. All the artifacts from earlier encounters with Cappa shows a good use of continuity and this promo gave me chills.

 

Gunner vs. The Solo Bros. was a fun sort of squash. Gunner could do some serious damage in the EoD Tourney.

 

Great Sly promo...he has a pussy on his head! I can't wait to see him get his hands on Calvin. Poor Lee Marshall...they made him cry!

 

Hoff cut another great promo. Was he faking being afraid the whole time or did his session with Eddy really help? The mystery stalker becomes even more intriguing as well! And it's good to see the return of the blood bath!

 

Whoa it's Stevens the Vampire Slayer...or not. Man Kayfabe just got destroyed, but it was pretty funny.

 

I love the old school dueling backstage interviews with the opposing teams and Jim Cornette brings the funny.

 

The Chris Bryte/Hand stuff was a major heelish moment. The sporting accident stuff may be a little of a stretch, but it's the OAOAST so it doesn't matter. Panther vs. The Hand should be one of the most violent emotionally charged matches we've seen.

 

The Wildcard Match was a great way to end the show because it was the biggest match of the night. I'm glad we got some dissention in the teams because you couldn't have them go out there and get along.

 

This was a great way to lead into the PPV.

Anywho..

 

The Eddy/Hoff segment was hilarious. Eddy acted perfectly in the role and the little "You're a good guy, just don't get in the Thrillogy's way" was awesome.

 

The Synth/Alix vs. The Skulls match was good. I loved Silverman checking down Alix's top. Hey, it's realistic!

 

Drek's promo was pretty dark. I like it! Nice job.

 

Lee Marshall? Where did he come from? Glad he got fired. Never liked that guy anyways...And just how does Sly think he's going to make sure it's him and Calvin? Hmmmm...

 

Hoff's pretty good, I must say. But don't tell anyone I said so....

 

I like the Hand/Bryte/Panther stuff, but is it possible for someone to be so indifferent towards murder? It certainly makes him a huge heel, so mission accomplished.

 

I haven't read the last match yet, but I'll get to it. Good HD.

I was heavy under the influence of recreational drugs when I wrote that match. It's a wonder it even reads semi-coherently. Thank god for my word processor's auto correct.

 

Anyway, good show. I wish I had something profound to add, but I don't (big surprise). The line about Sly's face looking like a vagina was pretty funny as was the whole Crazy Vamps skit. Crystal's promo was a nice counter to the incessant psychotic ramblings of our world champion. Good eight man tag in the main event. I really like the way the division is developing. Also, I wonder if Sly'll cost Leon Rodez has opener at the EOD against Calvin so he has a better chance of facing his old friend in the second round.

Speaking of recreational drugs, might I recommend Harold and Kumar go to White Castle to everyone. I caught an advance screening last weekend, and it was just ridiculously hilarious.
