Cross Country

Basically, in 7 days I have to participate in a long distance run. My question is, is there any point in doing a few jogs in the upcoming week? Like, will it actually help me lose a few seconds in my timing?

Oh, I thought this was like a regular team you were on. Stay hydrated, I guess. Running's running, you should know what to expect.

If you really want to piss someone off, tell a person who is involved in one of these "Fight Against Cancer March-Rally-etc." that you're rooting for Cancer to win and that you don't want to donate anything to the opposition.

 

Good times will be had by all.

If you are doing like a 5 mile race or less just do some light distance work and some fast paced repeat miles and you will be fine, and to those who think running sucks, I disagree. I ran CC/Track in high school and during the running seasons, I never felt better in my life. I was in great shape, I ate better because let's face it pancakes, bacon, eggs, and two glasses of milk isn't the best thing for you when you are running anywhere from 5-15 miles that day. Running can be really good for you if you can be consiestient and set up a schedule

Do a bunch of flights of stairs, if you can find any. If your friends live in apartments, go up to the top floor and run back down a number of times depending on how many floors they have in the building.
