Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 It's gone from the index on my computer.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 It's still there. Too Bad.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 May I be banned from every wrestling folder? I'd really rather not have all that shit on my screen.
Krankor Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Just a guess. It's probably because for the group in your avatar it says "Suspended from WWE Folder"
Bruiser Chong Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 *was about to check Zsasz' desk drawer for Vodka before seeing his member title*
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Why am I suspended from the WWE Folder?
bob_barron Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Whose bright idea was it to suspend Drury? That guy was awesome You would think nik and Loss would realise by now that no matter what they do- the WWE folder will not become this place full of intelligent discussion
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Can I have a reason from one of the mods? I dont think that's too much to ask.
bob_barron Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I'm not a mod but I think it's because of your tendency to always take the opposite viewpoint in every topic in the WWE folder. I have a feeling that's why

I have a feeling that's why Actually isn't that a good thing? Wouldn't it be boring if everyone agreed on everything? And suspending me because my opinions are different is week. Especially when I added a really good match review of Angle/Taker from a while back and was planning on doing more.
Bruiser Chong Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I'd imagine it's not because you have the opposite opinion on just about everything WWE-related, but rather, you come off at times as having such an opinion for the sole reason of standing out from everyone else or to start crap. And Drury fucking sucked. I'm glad someone finally got rid of him. Thanks.
Bruiser Chong Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Just another thing. It's too bad intelligent discussion is such a taboo thing in that cesspool folder at the top of the forum. People get on the two mods who actually want to take on the unwanted task of making that laughing stock of folder somewhat credible and decent to go through. That's why I don't even get why both of them signed back up.

And Drury fucking sucked. I'm glad someone finally got rid of him. Thanks. Perhaps I wouldn't always have the same opinion if the WWE Folder wasn't the exact same bitchfest every time I look there. I mean SOMEHOW I can post at WDI, SNKT, and DVDVR and be just talking about wrestling (with the exact same opinions, mind you), and it's HERE that I have problems. Because suddenly I CAN'T have a contrary opinion to anybody else on my own. It HAS to be because I'm Dave O'Neill 2.0. WHO could ever go against the collective hive mind that is the WWE Folder? Man, just when I say in the Raw thread that I've really started to warm up to Benoit, shit like this happens. I really enjoyed the discussion I had with Loss about Cena's merits as a talker, and I liked talking about Taker in that thread as well.
Guest SP-1 Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Somebody ban me from the CE folder. I really don't want to go back in here because it ends up taking away from my enjoyment of the board, but yet I keep getting drawn back into it.
Damaramu Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Man....I haven't watched wrestling in like 3 months......I forgot there even was a WWE folder.
Bruiser Chong Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Could be because the WWE folder has precisely five people who have a clue about what they're talking about and 500 who pretend that they do. Those who are genuine tend to go with popular sentiment, which is exactly why you've got a folder of hundreds who are seemingly all saying the same thing, while other boards, whose wrestling folders have about 10-15 regulars, have differing opinions, but are backed up with some substance. Hmm, interesting.

Hmm, interesting. I'm trying to say that... 1. My opinions, while contrary, are genuine. I do try to back them up and not just be an "anti-smark" whatever the hell THAT is. 2. I'd go out on a limb and say I DO know what the hell I'm talking about and I think I DO add something to that cesspool. I'm an anti-conformist, and it's only because of me and a few others (Goodear, nikjohns) that the place hasn't completely descended into a total circle jerk for the same four workers. 3. A guy shouldn't be suspended for having an opinion that goes against the grain, if he contributes to the overall discussion. 4. If you DO suspend someone, that person should be sent a damned PM and told WHY. instead of having to start a thread in Site Feedback about it. Just for fun, when I mentioned TSM over at DVDVR MB, this was the first response... The smartmarks board is hilarious. They hate Orton with such a passion over there it borders on the insane. Our stock in the internet wrestling community continues to soar, guys. Good job.

We need John Kerry to bring back the respect we once had from the rest of the Internet Community. HOPE IS ON THE WAY! Er..uh.. *exit stage left*
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 3. A guy shouldn't be suspended for having an opinion that goes against the grain, if he contributes to the overall discussion Whenever I went into a discussion with an opinion that wasn't on par with the course of the thread, I never ran into a problem.

Neither did I. I don't really consider arguing with soemone on the internet a "problem." Really, I'm just speculating. I talked to Moysey, who told me nikjohns did it, but had a vague reason for it and didn't have any examples of what I was doing wrong (I asked him specifically on that last point).
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I'm shocked it took them this long...
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Could be because the WWE folder has precisely five people who have a clue about what they're talking about and 500 who pretend that they do. Let me guess...you and four guys who agree with you?
Bruiser Chong Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I don't even post in there, so nope. But nice try.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 NOTE TO SELF: Remember to research before deciding to be a smartass again. Sorry.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I really shouldn't say this, but... Anglesault is really overreacting about those SD! spoilers.
Art Sandusky Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Yeah... why was Zsasz suspended before AS was? Someone want to tell me why I'd care at ALL what value our "internet stock" has? The people talking about us clearly don't look further than the WWE folder (one folder of how many? 20?), so fuck 'em.

Guest Loss Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Zsasz, I'd be more than willing to talk to you through PM and give you an explanation. I apologize for you not getting one on the front end. As for why we haven't banned Anglesault, everyone got a clean slate when Nik and I came back. AS has yet to do anything out of line that I've seen since then, including the SD Spoilers thread mentioned by Zsasz.

The worst part is I didn't even need to look at the actual thread to make that little post. I just read the spoilers elsewhere and KNEW he'd bitch. But *I'M* the one suspended.
