Yeah, because saying "LOL I BET LIBERALS WOULD VOTE FOR OBL" is REALLY raising the level of discourse. I stand by my assessment that you're as big a moron as INXS when it comes to American politics.

You're right, how dare I say that some people who throw out OMGBUSH=HITLER2004!!!!!! at will and call Bush 'the real terrorist' might be inclined to vote for 'that nice old man that takes care of his people' over him.

Yep, how dare I???????

I'm a moron? This coming from a guy that supported the Democrats' answer to the Ultimate Warrior, YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Dean got McGoverned...he made that shout in a roomfull of college kids...its common sense to see how that was a fairly normal thing to do in those circumstances. Sometimes, greatone, it helps to know about the situation.

Also, cnn later apologized for showing the clip....they cited its irrelevance.

And, I think the only kids who do the OMGLOL thing here are the republicans...

Of course, Dean ALSO claimed that Bush knew about 9/11 in advance AND that the terror alerts are politically motivated.

Him being a fucking idiot did more to kill him than anything else.

At least I'm not fawning over that dirty titty on lady justice. That's the real satan worship, I tell ya.

Another red herring not actually based on reality. Up there with "Blacks were disenfranchised in 2000" and "Bush smeared McCain in SC"

You listen to waaaaay too much Sean Hannity

This is the EXACT quote from Deans interview with Diane Rheem

Caller: Once we get you in the White House, would you please make sure that there is a thorough investigation of 9/11 and not stonewalling?

Howard Dean: Yes there is a report which the president is suppressing evidence for, which is a thorough investigation of 9/11.

Diane Rehm: Why do you think he is suppressing that report?

Howard Dean: I don't know. There are many theories about it. The most interesting theory that I've heard so far -- which is nothing more than a theory, it can't be proved -- is that he was warned ahead of time by the Saudis. Now who knows what the real situation is? But the trouble is, by suppressing that kind of information, you lead to those kind of theories, whether they have any truth to them or not, and eventually, they get repeated as fact. So I think the president is taking a great risk by suppressing the key information that needs to go to the Kean Commission.

Oh, and when Al Franken confronted Hannity about it on his radio show, and played the clips of Hannity claiming Dean said this, Hannity kept saying "well, I misspoke" yet there are over 4 different examples of Hannity claiming this

Jig, you don't MENTION a single conspiracy ON-AIR if you don't BELIEVE it. You simply don't. You didn't hear Republicans saying that they've "heard", but

"don't believe" that FDR knew about Pearl Harbor in advance, did you?

Kind of out of touch with the times arent you?

He mentioned it simply to illustrate his point that a commission needed to be set up so that the truth can be cleared and THEORIES such as that could be debunked

Well that is just side-stepping the issue of the fact that you claimed Dean said something that he didn't. I think it is hilarious that when confronted Hannity will admit he mispoke, yet on his TV show he will go right back to using the same old tired, "dean said he knew about it" argument as a talking point. Was Dean possibly doing a dumb thing by mentioning conspiracy theories, sure, maybe, but he never said he believed any of it.

You do not mention conspiracy theories you do not believe ON-AIR.

What YOU believe you should or shouldnt mention on the air is beside the fucking point. The POINT is that you have no idea what you're talking about, end of story.

It's called context Mike, look into it.

No, it very much IS the fucking point. How completely idiotic must one be to say something as profoundly idiotic as Dean did WHILE ON-AIR?

I don't care if he believes the insane conspriacy theory. That he said it on-air indicates a real problem.

If he said "Well, I believe the CIA created AIDS to kill homosexuals and gave crack to the inner cities to kill blacks", that, too, would show how much of an idiot he was, even if he didn't "believe" those conspiracies.

The POINT is that you have no idea what you're talking about, end of story.

Of course it is, Ms. Kamui.

I bet you guys would react differently if this were about child molesting John Kerry:

Joe Voter: Why do you think Kerry is suppressing that report?

George Bush: I don't know. There are many theories about it. The most interesting theory that I've heard so far -- which is nothing more than a theory, it can't be proved -- is that he raped 11-year old children nightly. Now who knows what the real situation is? But the trouble is, by suppressing that kind of information, you lead to those kind of theories, whether they have any truth to them or not, and eventually, they get repeated as fact. So I think the senator is taking a great risk by suppressing the key information that needs to go to the commission.

If the child molesting theory had anything to do with a giant child molesting governmental conspiracy which involved the set up of a commission, then I'd buy your point

Of course, Dean ALSO claimed that Bush knew about 9/11 in advance AND that the terror alerts are politically motivated.

He called you on it. You tried to reframe the argument and ignore what you originally said.

Umm, you posted what I originally said. If you MENTION A CONSPIRACY THEORY ON-AIR --- then you BELIEVE IT. If you say, on-air, "Well, this needs to be investigated to put this to rest", it means YOU BELIEVE IT.

Reporter: Why won't Kerry release all of his and his wife's tax returns?

Bush: Well, there are probably good reason. One theory --- which I don't personally believe, mind you, but several others do --- is that he and his wife run cocaine out of S.America and sell it to kindergarten children. I've also heard rumors --- again I don't buy it --- that he is a hitman for the CIA. The records NEED to be released to put these rumors to bed.

Would you ignore an OBVIOUS --- and insane --- implication because of the "I don't personally believe it" caveat he stated? That's as legitimate as the whole "no offense" caveat that people let fly right before they intentionally offend you.

Dean was a moron. I prayed he'd win the nomination because, if he did, Bush would have a double-digit lead right now.

And, no offense, Dean had the IQ of a box of Chex.

Mike, red herrings are things that 'didn't' happen...

Ashcroft did cover the statue's breasts...

And McCain needs to stop spawning them dang black babies...

Seriously Mike, are Rove and Sean Hannity your only sources of news and information?

If that's the case, then I'd have to say Bush has the IQ of a bowl of chex after the milk has been poured and has sat there for 30 minutes and made the nice crunchy chex into a bowl of mushy mess.... :P

There's no use even pointing that out again... Mike has proven time and time again that he will believe whatever he wants to believe, even if he believes something thats completely unreasonable or utterly wrong.

And even when he's proven wrong, he tries to dance around until he pulls a completely irrelevant point out of thin air to try and save himself...

which is frustrating, but on the other hand, great entertainment

Mike, red herrings are things that 'didn't' happen...

Ashcroft did cover the statue's breasts...

A complete and total non-story.

ONCE AGAIN, since you seem a bit dense, we'll get into this:

An advance woman at the Justice Dept bought the backdrop, believing it would make a better backdrop for TV. Nobody has EVER PRODUCED even the tiniest sliver of actual proof that Ashcroft had ANYTHING to do with it --- nor that he even CARED one way or the other. The advance woman BOUGHT it as renting it constantly seemed pointless.

Go ahead --- provide PROOF that Ashcroft was behind the covering. PROOF. You don't have any, nor can you find any. Just because people repeat a lie often enough does not make it true.

Speaking of repeating a lie often enough...

And McCain needs to stop spawning them dang black babies...

Seriously Mike, are Rove and Sean Hannity your only sources of news and information?

Can you PROVE that Bush or Rove did ANYTHING?

How come nobody can provide scripts of these calls? No tapes exist. Only one family has actually stated that they were called --- and nobody can corroborate THAT story, either. In fact, the ONLY smear campaign that HAS been proven is McCain having voters in MI called, claiming that Bush is "anti-Catholic".

Read ALL of the stories about the "smear campaign against McCain" --- and look for, you know, PROOF. All you get are accusation by McCain staffers. No names of people who were called. No scripts. No tapes. NOTHING.

Well I think you missed the point that Dean was talking about the suppression of information and the dangers of it, where as you conveniently leave out that part in your little mock quote of your hypothetical situation.

It actually DIRECTLY deals with it. It simply uses the same insane conspiracy theories.

That you see a difference where none exists is sad --- but expected of you.

Are you oblivious to the concept of ACTUAL evidence?

Provide a script. Provide a tape. Provide some people were who called. Provide ACTUAL evidence, not allegations by a campaign.

The Bush campaign released PRECISELY what was in the script for their phone calls.
