Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 I think it's about time the WWE puts a Pay Per View in Calgary. The last PPV event they had in Calgary as the In Your House, during the Stampede. Which was a HUGE success(I also attend it) I know for a fact if the WWE puts a PPV in Calgary it will sell out and the crowd reaction for the event will be off the charts. I would love for the Royal Rumble to be in Calgary, but I wouldn't mind if a PPV like No Way Out or Judgement Day was held there. P.S. No I am not from Calgary, but I am from Montreal and would fly down to Calgary to see it.
Guest KJ Brackish Report post Posted August 6, 2004 Cough cough.......... NO~! WWE NEEDS to bring a PPV to Salt Lake City, Utah. You see, they always come here when they do a first ever, sort of thing. We got the first ever live Smackdown!, the first time they debuted the new Smackdown set, the new Smackdown music (Marilyn Manson) and of course, the re-birth of the RAW roulette. WWE has sold out each time, so I'd say it would be safe to assume that they could move up to the Delta Center (higher capacity) and hold a PPV. In conclusion. No Calgary........ Salt Lake City. Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 Please tell me thats some sort of a joke. If not, you should hang your head in shame, because you not understand the history of Pro Wrestling and Calgary. Also, if WWE wants to get on Bret's good side. This would help. Plus the crowd in Calgary is alot better then Salt Lake City.
Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 6, 2004 Considering Edmonton just recently held one (Backlash, IRC), I wouldn't doubt that perhaps next year, that Calgary might get one next year. I wouldn't be surprised to see it be No Way Out. ...or just for humor, it be Backlash as well.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 WWE needs to have a PPV back here in my hometown. We haven't had one since NWO 01.
Guest Tjhe CyNick Report post Posted August 6, 2004 Edmonton didn't sell out with Benoit coming in as the champion, so I would say its a guarantee that Calgary would sell out. Plus, with the currency deal it would be a hit to the WWE unless they got a lot of local pub which could help the buyrate. But Calgary is a nice place, so they could do worse. Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted August 7, 2004 I would like a PPV here in Vancouver. The last we had was in 98. But, in general, Canada draws VERY well, Vince would be smart to come here more. We pay his high prices and beat out most American citys (other than the NorthEast of the US)
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2004 When was the last time a PPV was in Miami proper and not in Fort Lauderdale instead?
Aero 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2004 Armageddon will probably be in Miami, as they just about always go to Florida for the December PPV. Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando got it the past two years, so Miami's due for this year. Edit: I take that back after seeing the PPV schedule thread. Good for Atlanta. I guess they got a prejudice against cold weather and aren't too much in the white Christmas feel I suppose
