JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 I really haven't followed the WWE much this summer, just reading results online occasionally. Anyways, I know that the GAB PPV sucked horribly, but I was wondering how good/bad these two PPVs were, and if they're worth getting a DVD or a bootlegged copy of. Which was better, in your opinion? redbaron29 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 I wouldnt recommend Bad Blood. I unfortunately went to see it in person, and regreted it. Vengence was ok, so I would recommend it if you were getting it for cheap
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Both were decent to me. I'm a WWE mark so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but I enjoyed both shows. Bad Blood had a prety good comedy match between Eugene and Coach (if you like that sorta thing), a good IC title match between Orton and Benjamin and a realy good match by Kane and Benoit. The HIAC match was way too long and would have been better condensed to 30 minutes, but with the power of Fast Forward is ok. Vengeance is kinda like Round 2 of Bad Blood... a good Eugene comedy match (teaming with Flair, and stealing all his spots, against La Resistance), a good Orton IC title match (and, much like with Benjamin, it's good at the beginning and end with a lot of resting in the middle), and a really good Benoit/HHH title match. Sadly though, Benoit/HHH has the run in finish and all that with Eugene, but otherwise I found it quite good.
spman 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 I was in the crowd for Vengeance, and it came off to me as being just an extended House Show. Maybe it came off better on TV.

The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Both shows were dull, in my opinion. They each had a match that went on way too long (HIAC for Bad Blood, IC Title for Vengeance), each had a comedy match that tried too hard (Eugene's matches on both shows) and the rest of the undercards weren't anything great. But both shows did have one pretty good match (Benoit/Kane, Benoit/HHH). So I wouldn't buy the DVDs myself, but it's up to you. Like what you hear, go for it. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Both shows were really solid. Bad Blood was decent enough and Vengeance was actually pretty good for what it was. Nothing on either show broke **** but I'd say that Benoit/Kane, Benoit/HHH, and even Orton/Benjamin were all at least ***1/2.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Bad Blood was a hit or miss show, which is a "It's a good show, but don't go out of your way to see it" Vengeance is slightly better, but same thing. It's not a must see, but it's not bad either.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 9, 2004 At Best Buy? No, they're not worth it. At DeepDiscountDVD.com you should be able to get the Orton/Benjamin and HHH/HBK goodness at a good price. Vengeance is worth it either way.
Guest TigerDriver91 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 I haven't seen Vengeance or Bad Blood yet, aside from the Benoit matches. I enjoyed Backlash though
Dark Age 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 At DeepDiscountDVD.com you should be able to get the Orton/Benjamin and HHH/HBK goodness at a good price. Benoit/Kane was better than both, IMO. But yeah, Bad Blood is pretty decent. The three big matches are enjoyable (though you may not like HIAC) Jericho/Tomko is shockingly decent, Eugene/Coach was fun (the last time I liked Eugene), tag title was okay and so was the womens match. No real bad points, and a pretty enjoyable show. Vengeance wasn't something I could get in to, mainly due to the time I watched it. Watching Orton/Edge at 3am made it about 10 times more boring than it could have been. Seen as though I didn't tape the show, I'm now left with no real opinion on the show, as I was half asleep through most it. From what I could gather, Jericho/Batista was pretty okay (but Meltzer shit all over it), Kane/Hardy was watchable, the tag match was fun, though repetitive for the second half of the match, I haven't seen the opening tag because of a crappy channel named Setanta Sports, the womens match was really decent, and I was just kinda lost for the big two. Orton/Edge ranges from 'completely boring' to 'brilliant MOTYC' so I dunno. Triple H/Benoit seemed good.

I liked Benoit and Kane, but not better than Orton and Benjamin who had a REALLY hot closing sequence, and a match that went down a lot better than Orton/Edge a month later. The HBK/HHH match is a matter of taste, it was essentially worked at the same pace as the Iron Man match (and I liked them about the same). I ranked the HIAC at *** 3/4, Benoit and Kane at *** 1/2 and Orton and Benjamin at *** 1/2.

Guest JoeyStyles Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Don't buy the dvds, it's not worth it. And Orton/Edge was **3/4 thanks to Randy's restholds.
Guest NiTR0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Please, Edge/Orton was a boring much with dull offence. It had a good opening 5 or so minutes, with a relatively hot finish. It didn't break *** at all. I had it at ** or **1/4 maybe. But the neck work from the part of Orton was just unbelievably poor. There RAW matches were better, with there first one being good, but a few minor mistakes. I remember that not even breaking ***.
