A four-minute video trailer for "Get Thrashed", the upcoming documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene.

As previously reported, filming for "Get Thrashed" was recently completed and the show is currently being edited. Post-production should be completed this fall, with an air date and location to follow soon after.

"Get Thrashed", the brainchild of director Rick Ernst, a longtime freelance producer for MTV, will include interviews with METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, EXODUS, GODSMACK, DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, DEATH ANGEL, SHADOWS FALL, MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STONE SOUR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, LAMB OF GOD, VIO-LENCE, KREATOR, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, VOIVOD, CHIMAIRA, BIOHAZARD, FOZZY singer/WWE superstar Chris Jericho, SEPULTURA, KITTIE, THE HAUNTED, D.R.I., SOILWORK, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, HEATHEN, Brian Slagel, Jon & Marsha Zazula, authors Ian Christe ("Sound of the Beast") and Steven Blush ("American Hardcore"), NY metal radio DJ Eddie Trunk, "Radio Rampage"'s Ron Quintana, as well as unsigned thrash bands OSMIUM, CONCRETE COFFIN and VISCID.

That list is just people who were interviewed. Bands like Godsmack and Disturbed are just going to be talking about thrash music and how it was part of their lives and stuff. Megadeth are going to be mentioned a lot in the movie, but none of them are interviewed.

I mean, they could interview Marty Friedman, Nick Menza, Chris Poland, or any other ex-members of Megadeth, or any other ex-members, like Jason Newsted.

Anyways, it looks good though.

LOL no, I just have it tied back. I always have had the sides and back shaved and let the top grow out and grow long. That pic is actually older then the other one I was using.....but yeah my hair is still longer. I think I am due for a new webcam photo soon :headbang:

<====== THERE, everyone happy now?

What is the exact release date for Get Thrashed? Also, am I right in assuming it is getting a limited release? I also hope casual viewers don't see the trailer and think it is another "Some Kind of Monster" flick....ugh.

All I could find on the site is Fall 2004 as the date they give. Also, it says it will be first shown on cable TV, but does not mention a channel. It isn't supposed to be in theaters ever. The DVD with extra features is just listed as first half 2005.
