Guest Bitterness the Star Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I didn't mind it. I appreciated some more of that Old School 'Taker moveset in the match, the pace quickened up in the 'Taker's attempt to finish Jordan off rather quickly. It really doesn't make sense for a struggle like that in a match with someone like Orlando Jordan when Kane at WrestleMania XX was beaten with a considerably less amount of effort, not to mention early-mid 90s 'Taker. Having someone like Jon Heidenreich, promo videos and all, set to feud with him, I concur with UYI - that does scare me because I think that this match was an indication of how much of a badass 'Taker's going to make him look like. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Heidenreich on the horizon scares me. UYI You and me both, pal. What I can't fathom is, why not feud Taker with someone like Cena (whom he apparantly thinks the world of) or Dupree. Hell even Kenzo would be a step up, because while none of them are GREAT they don't get people hurt either. Heidenreich does, and that scares me.
Guest Bitterness the Star Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Zsasz, 'Taker has been working "extensively" with Heidenreich. That has to show his opinion of his abilities, or lack thereof. Hopefully it pays off.

From what I hear, UT did a LOT for A-Train's in ring stuff, so maybe this isn't as bad as I'd hoped. I must have faith in the MUGA.

Guest Bitterness the Star Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I believe so. That draft lottery was criminally disorganised - what WWE considered "dead weight" was thrown to the other brand so that it could benefit some other guys. It's frightening to think that the world's biggest pro wrestling product can't even handle a small draft lottery with full credibility, but there you are. You just hit the nail right on the head with that one. The draft lottery was a scam and a disgrace. dis·grace ( P ) Pronunciation Key (ds-grs) n. Loss of honor, respect, or reputation; shame. The condition of being strongly and generally disapproved. One that brings disfavor or discredit: Your handwriting is a disgrace How was the lottery a disgrace? It helped get rid of RAW's dead weight and tightened the show better. Shelton Benjamin and Spike Dudley were both greatly helped by the change of scenery. Tajiri's been getting a push and is no longer stuck in the dead weight cruiser division. Until their pushes were stalled- Dupree and Jindrak were starting to get over on his own. Instead of being lost in the shuffle at RAW- Booker's become an uppercard heel. Edge is the I-C champ over on Smackdown!. Rico and Haas were doing their thing until Rico got hurt. A-Train and Palumbo got screwed by it but A-Train is injured and no one cares about Palumbo anyway. The only person who didn't really benefit was Rob Van Dam

Guest Bitterness the Star Report post Posted August 15, 2004 Bob, since Van Dam jumped over to SmackDown!, he's put himself over as the kind of guy that, no matter what, he'll be moved around, put in a title picture, get shots, etc. And despite all that, he'll never get a run with any ball. The only thing that remains constant about the guy is weed references. This week's on SmackDown! crossed the line from 'subtle', too.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 15, 2004 Zsasz liked it very much. It wasn't as good as the Cena match from a few eeks back, but I'm going to go on record and say: NO ONE currently does the under ten minute TV match better than The Undertaker right now. He is that good at them.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2004 Zsasz is making me hate Taker... which doesn't matter because I haven't watched Smackdown in months. I find it silly when the WWE turns someone heel and/or puts them in a power position (like Orlando Jordan as JBL's goon) and has them cut off right away. It does nothing. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2004 About that Rumble 2003 finish and the wave o' hosses: Batista was being portrayed as a strong as fuck guy who could stand up to the rest of those guys on a pretty equal footing back then, but only now is trigger being pulled on push for Batista the wrestler as opposed to Batista the Evolution Big Guy. I understand he was injured in 2003, but I wanted to see his current push happening back in April/May.
