LOS ANGELES - Julia Child, whose warbling, encouraging voice and able hands brought the intricacies of French cuisine to American home cooks through her television series and books, has died. She was 91.

 

She wasn't one of my personal favorite TV Chefs, but I probably watched plenty of her shows over the last 15 years (I started watching cooking shows when I was 8 or so, which is how I got hung up on cooking). She certainly had an influence on all of the chefs/people that have shows on TV now.

She paled in comparison to that one dude from New Orleans, I believe his name was Justin Wilson. But, still she had a profound impact on all of our lives and was one hot piece of ass.

Justin Wilson was pretty awesome. He still puts Emeril to shame sometimes even though he died 3 years ago.

She was old as moons and was probably crocked on sherry half the time. I shall miss her.

I remember my Grandma used to watch her show. Don't think she prepared any of her dishes, since Grandma was more a meat and potatos.
