Remember the rabid MSG fans a year or so ago, at a Survivor Series, when Scott Steiner debuted, the Dudleys reunited, etc. etc. WWE was listening that night. And for the next year those three men were being pushed down our throats. Perhaps the WWE was listening again tonight. Bless those fans for pointing out: 1. Undietaker is a piece of garbage 2. Eugene is beyond horrible - I hope the marks all jump on the bandwagon and we can rid the universe of George Steele 2004 3. Edge, hometown boy or not is a terribly boring wrestler 4. Pointing out that the Divas search/feud is on par with Torrie-Dawn-Al 5. Not forgetting that Earl swore a lie on his kids head. Watch out Brian!

DrVenkman PhD Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 What I found odd was when I was visiting D.C. and went to Raw, some guy on the floor had a You Screwed Bret sign and kept demanding people start a chant. At this point I yelled down "Get over it!"... but I'm Canadian, and he's persumably American. Very bizarre.

I liked Eugene as a mid card comedy character but he has no business being anywhere near the main event. I remember thinking that the character had potential and the Dinsmore would be the wrestling machine. He isn't. He's a joke. I don't agree on Edge, because I actually like the guy. BUT it's beyond obvious that he is a really bland character. Even FUNNY HUMOUR Edge is better than this. I have no care for Taker either way. I think the point was more that JBL shouldn't be champ.
Guest Eugene` Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 With the last reply, i'm not exactly going to agree......yet. Edge has just started the serious heel role, and i'm liking it SO FAR. When he came out on the highlight reel recently to confront Jericho, he looked legit pissed off. Even last night, his little heel maneurisms were pretty cool. I think we should just wait and see.
Promoter Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I think some are getting that the "You Screwed Bret" chants aren't really about Bret per se. It's just something Canadian to chant like the US fans chanting USA everytime an American faces off against an "evil" foreign wrestler. Seriously, isn't it kind of obvious? It also has to do with letting the wwe not forget and I'm sure if Bret ever returned the chants won't really be around much anymore.
