Guest MikeSC Report post Posted August 30, 2004 You have far more patience than I do, Mike, to sit there and answer all of that nonsense. I'm setting up a fantasy football league with my brothers. Believe me, time I have to kill. -=Mike
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Nope. Incredibly apt comparison. No, Mike. I don't think a tinpot dictator trapped in a box was nearly as big a threat to the world as Adolf Hitler. And, in case you missed it, we are very much in a war with a brutal force that wants us killed. And yet, despite the dictatorship, there wasn't any shooting and dying in the streets like there is now. That only happened when we came along. Why else do you think so many Iraqi citizens just want to see us pack our bags as fast as we can and leave them alone? Who isn't? Saddam did. France doesn't. Germany's history is pretty weird but they're not doing anything that barbaric anymore. And yet somehow the Saudis are our "ally." Except the Treasury isn't anywhere near bankruptcy and the whole dot-com bust evaporated the surplus. Things were getting unsteady, but nowhere near what they are now. Look at Bush's non-military deficit spending. That suruplus could have been used to save social security for the next generation. I set all-time record for biggest drop in the history of the stock market. Actually, no. Really nice try, though. (...) I am the first president in US history to enter office with a criminal record. Also the first to have lies spread in a really lame e-mail chain letter. Whoa, seriously. That was some pretty stupid shit right there. Don't know what he was thinking. Seriously, people, stop using chain letters and Michael Moore books to debate. I'm also the first President who deals with people who don't understand the Conventions. Yawn.. This part doesn't work because we're not a roving gang of thugs. Europe is, you know, a bunch of petulant children Really growin' tired of this arrogant attitude, too. Guest MikeSC Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Nope. Incredibly apt comparison. No, Mike. I don't think a tinpot dictator trapped in a box was nearly as big a threat to the world as Adolf Hitler. A "tinpot dictator" who sponsored terrorism and was in cahoots with Al Qaeda. And, in case you missed it, we are very much in a war with a brutal force that wants us killed. And yet, despite the dictatorship, there wasn't any shooting and dying in the streets like there is now. No, people were just removed from their houses in the middle of the night and were tortured and murdered in prisons. MUCH better. That only happened when we came along. Why else do you think so many Iraqi citizens just want to see us pack our bags as fast as we can and leave them alone? Because they're not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer and are easily mainpulated. Who isn't? Saddam did. France doesn't. Germany's history is pretty weird but they're not doing anything that barbaric anymore. And yet somehow the Saudis are our "ally." Nah, they only ignore genocide in pursuit of oil. Except the Treasury isn't anywhere near bankruptcy and the whole dot-com bust evaporated the surplus. Things were getting unsteady, but nowhere near what they are now. Look at Bush's non-military deficit spending. That suruplus could have been used to save social security for the next generation. The only thing that can "Save" Social Security ha been so demonized that it can't be done. Things were BAD. The economy was in free fall. The stock market had been plummeting since March of 2000. Blaming Bush for the economy is as irrational as blaming the Depression on Hoover. I set all-time record for biggest drop in the history of the stock market. Actually, no. Really nice try, though. I have newfound respect for Jobber in not parroting obviously idiotic theories. Europe is, you know, a bunch of petulant children Really growin' tired of this arrogant attitude, too. Europe is, quite frankly, a bunch of high school kids. They've had the benefit of OUR protection to keep them free for years and permitted them to pursue their assorted, wasteful social policies. They have grown to HATE us because their protection has been so reliant upon us --- no different than the teenager who rebels against their parents because they know they can't make it without them. -=Mike
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 I'm sorry, but no one can ever possibly be worse then Carter. Not even Gerry Ford?
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted August 30, 2004 I'm sorry, but no one can ever possibly be worse then Carter. Not even Gerry Ford? He only had two years to utterly suck. Carter had the full four to utterly suck. Ford is better by 2 years of less suck. -=Mike

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 A "tinpot dictator" who sponsored terrorism and was in cahoots with Al Qaeda. Hardly the same as actually striking the US. No, people were just removed from their houses in the middle of the night and were tortured and murdered in prisons. MUCH better. No concern of the US, IMO. We aren't the World Police. Blaming Bush for the economy is as irrational as blaming the Depression on Hoover. Except that Hoover did contribute to the depression, way more than Bush did the recent recession. Europe is, quite frankly, a bunch of high school kids. They've had the benefit of OUR protection to keep them free for years and permitted them to pursue their assorted, wasteful social policies. And now in the hell are we "permetting them" to make their own social policy?

It's "permitting" --- and since they did not have to spend money on their defense since WE gave it to them for free, they had the ability to spend money to kill the concept of work in their country. -=Mike

I'm going to file this away in case somewhere down the line you complain about us not doing something about places like, for example, the Sudan.
