Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 I just listened to a burn of the new Blur album. In a shocker, it's not worth your time. Every time they get into a groove, the song kinda peters out. "Good Song" would have been great if they'd just let it evolve. Recommendations, however, for the track "Out of Time," which is actually really good. "Battery in Your Leg" is kind of interesting in an "I sound like an Amnesiac b-side" way, and "Crazy Beat" is good goofy hooky fun. Overall, though, it's just really boring, generic, post-grunge Brit-rock.

Guest Flyboy Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Songs made for and about Homosexuals... That statement made no sense at all. 50 Cent - "Back Down"
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 I like Barnes era CC more ("The Bleeding" is one of my favorite albums ever), but I like Corpsegrinder's voice more. Nothing is funnier than Chris Barnes trying to do a high pitch shreak and sounding less intimidating than Froggy on the Little Rascals. I hate it when Barnes screams. His barking growls are ok, but it just sounds like he's gargling with nothing in his mouth when he tries to shriek. Personally, I think Corpsegrinder is a FAR better death metal vocalist, and his lyrics are just as sick and detailed. I also think Six Feet Under blows dogs for quarters, yet has a couple catchy tracks, would anyone concur? Right now... Slayer-"Hardening of the Arteries"
