Not being known for a huge Foley fan, i am a huge wrestling fan, and since i was out spending rent money on wrestling dvd's, i picked up Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses dvd. After watching him with Michaels, i can't think of a better Foley match that i've seen, including the others on the dvd. Of course, would be nice to have the Sid and Vader bit cut out, but the psychology and peformance in this match was off the charts.

Who's gonna disagree on his best match?

Its a shame Tupac missed that match by nine days just like Dale Sr missed Austin-HHH NWO 01.

Its good, but personally I prefer the Streetfight with HHH. I couldn't really argue why I prefer it, its just little things. Being an old WCW mark it was great to see Cactus Jack back, so for me that added something special to the match, more on a nostalgic level I suppose (I hadn't seen Cactus' stints in WWE prior to this). Also the storyline going into it was fantastic. I can't really argue it was better though and I can understand why a lot of people call the Mind Games match his best.

Being a big Triple H fan (ha ha.. here it comes) i did love this match, but it's surprising that i love the MG match because i really don't like Michaels all that much (being a bret mark myself) but even i'll admit that Michaels can go when he wants to.

Talking about the Foley DVD, why was there no 'This Is Your Life' segmant as an extra?

Of the WWE matches, it's hard to choose with me. Most of them had some kind of bizarre interference in them.

- Vader/Sid at Mind Games

- Austin during his first title win

- The Rock coming from NOWHERE at the Street Fight

- The Undertaker at Over The Edge 98

And what was the oddest was that in the last three examples there were times when he was both aligned with them and against them (though maybe not Taker, I'm not sure...they may have been tag champs at some point).

I love the Streetfight, but once the handcuffs come off, the rest of the match is just boom boom boom tacks finish. Is first title win was very good until the clusterfuck and the glass shatter.

I love them all, but if you go by everything else in the seperate matches besides the ending, I'd probably pick the Streetfight. That match had the most emotion going into it, and that is something I love in wrestling. Mind Games and the Title Win are tied for 2nd, MG for the match itself, and the Title Win for the emotion around it (Big Daddio Did It! and the run around the ring still tear me up)

At the end of the match, Vince was telling Rock that he'll get a rematch, but kept saying 'i don't know how, but i'll find a way to get you a rematch!!'

Vince owns the company, he doesn't need to find a way!

This was in the dry period of WWF that I can hardly remember. I think there was a tag title switch between the Smoking Gunns against Bulldog & Owen, but what else was on the card?

^ Savio Vega Vs. Justin Bradshaw in a "Caribbean strap" match.

Jose Lothario Vs. Jim Cornette.

Mark Henry Vs. Jerry Lawler

The Undertaker Vs. Goldust in a "final curtain" match.

Well that under-card certainly looks like a steaming pile of horse manure. What the hell is a Final Curtain Match? To make an educated guess, something like a Texas Death Match?

I was at Mind Games, and I'm trying to remember. I believe it was a casket match.

Also, there were some dark matches after the show...

I believe Sid beat Vader, and Faarooq squashed Marc Mero. Interesting, the next night on Raw, the I-C Title tourney final was live, with Mero scoring the upset on Faarooq.

Cactus vs. HHH from RRumble 2000 is my favorite Foley match. I honestly don't think Rock/Mankind I Quit was THAT Good. Outside of the sick finish, it was just a good match.

Mind Games wins for me, simply because it showed (or at least the majority showed) that Foley could put on a match without chairs, trash cans and other gimmicks. He and Shawn were able to put on a good wrestling match before the chairs, table spot and Vader run-in at the end. I'd say it's Foley best straight singles match ever.

Of course, the others that have been mentioned are memorable because that's what Foley did best...the gimmick match brawls that could draw you in. But I still prefer Mind Games.
