....Why does Theadore Long have a picture of both Vince McMahon and Martin Luther King in his office? Is Vince that delusional that he outta have his picture up beside such a significant historical figure? Is his clear sense of dettachment from reality a main reason why the product has plummeted so far?

Don't mind the new meat, Banky. He's a goof. I'd say you're spot-on with your assesment.

Yeah, the pictures of Vince McMahon and Martin Luther King on Teddy's GM wall signifies the plummeting of WWE television.

Or maybe the booking is just horrible.

Uhm....I think both go hand in hand....sweetcheeks.

Well, okay, I'm going to try and make sense of it from a booking perspective; Vince McMahon gave Long the GM spot, so it's like a thank you from Long, and having a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. makes perfect sense when you think about Long's character.

When Long first put the picture of Martin Luther King up next to Mcmahon it was also an episode where JBL was talking about John F Kennedy and Ronald Reagan as great American heroes, and in that week's Observer I remember reading Meltzer write that it wasn't a coincidence because Vince Mcmahon's biggest heroes are Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

So there you go, Vince admires the guy and in his own strange world, putting his picture side by side with his is Vince's own way of acknoledging that...

The only holiday Vince ever really recognizes is Martin Luther King day.

If Vince is all for Black rights, where are all of your black champions? Only the Rock. And he is only part black. At least the WCW had Ron Simmons.

Vince probably hasn't had any black people besides The Rock who he thought could draw well as a champion.

Booker T.

Farooq couldn't have been worse than anyone else in 97. His position as a big deal would have been solidified had he beaten the Underquaker.

Who else is there?

Orlando Jordan and Shelton Benjamin....

Need I go furhter than the complete fumbling of Shelton Benjamin. That guy had far more steam in a few months than Randy Orton had in his whole career. before his hand injury, he was being totally wasted. And he is now...bring him back in Evolution for fucks sake. No.

There's still time yet for both Shelton and Orlando.

Time for their careers to remain in limbo? History is not in their favour.

Black champions haven't drawn successfully because of all that funny jive talkin' they do. It gets old guys!

Mark Henry was getting a decent push prior to his most recent injury. I cant explain why though.

D-Lo, Godfather and Ron Killings all got given the flick. So did Ahmed Johnson but he was being groomed for big things before he became an injury-prone waste.

Mabel got given a big push in 95, but was crap and they gave up on him.
