Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 My thoughts on the last few firings: Elizabeth: Yes, he fired the right person. She failed the same test that Kwame failed in the last episode regarding Omarosa. She should have fired her whole team, or instructed them that their job was to go examine rocks for the next six hours, and designed a simple ad campaign that got the message across by herself if she had to. Yes, it would look crude as all hell, but it would get the job done and possibly make everyone else on the team look like an idiot. If it failed, it all would have fallen on her shoulders, which is what happened when she waffled so no difference there even in a worst-case scenario. Raj: I'm currently repairing a house to sell right now, so I saw that one coming up as soon as he started tearing out the wall. We're actually re-adding a wall that we tore out so as to increase it's value. Stupid, stupid Raj. Chris: What can you say? Trump was absolutely chomping at the bit to fire the guy once he made his dumb-assed comment. That was the only reason Trump gave him PM status even after telling Stacy he doesn't do that, because he would take any oppertunity to murder the guy and making him PM only guarantees that someone stupid like Raj doesn't screw it up. I completely don't buy that bit about firing Jen at all. Even if he made into the final five, Chris would have been the first to go since he shot off his mouth. It's like that one woman in the last season who Trump practically mocked after her pal the PM absolved her of any blame (and then got fired herself immediately after.) Except with that woman you could see it wash over her face when she realized it was over before it was over. Not so with Chris.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Seven of Nine was much less bitchy this week, btw. She didn't even backstab Ivana once!! Yea she backstabbed Chris instead who pretty much saved her ass from a possible firing. I wouldn't really call that backstabbing. More like just adding fuel to the fire. After his comments last week, either he would succeed or he'd get fired this week. It was as simple as that. I'm not saying Chris wouldn't have been fired because it was a 100% sure thing. I'm actually suprised he let Chris bring ppl back and didn't just fire him right off but I guess he didn't wanna do that again. That was the sad thing was that Trump was stretching it for all it was worth because it was so predictable. What chance did Chris have?Trump liked his accent and he claimed he might have fired Jennifer instead even though she was equally as bad as everyone else for the task. Either way i'm just happy Ivana is still around to piss ppl off and look cute, banana or not
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Ivana could have been fired last episode if not for Chris not bringing in Jennifer. The "you've been in this boardroom too much" card could have been played (even though she has been in the boardroom the same amount of times as Kevin) as well as Trump saying she seems like a nasty person and he hates nasty people. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 I think the thing with Elizabeth was more to humiliate her and point out how brutally incompetent she is. Chris screwed up but he wasn't as stupid and ineffective as Elizabeth. Trump would've fired Chris no matter what. I think he was just messing with him by saying he might have fired Jennifer
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 The first two times she went into the boardroom she got lucky because Branford and Stacie J were both fuckups. She escaped with Raj because she didn't do anything wrong and that was either Raj or Kevin. I forget the other time she was taken in. I think Trump wants to fire her really badly- she always just escapes

Chris screwed up but he wasn't as stupid and ineffective as Elizabeth. Trump would've fired Chris no matter what. I think he was just messing with him by saying he might have fired Jennifer Trump and his advisors agreed that everyone was bad on the task before they brought the 3 back into the boardroom. There was no mention of Chris being the worst then. It seemed Chris probably wouldn't have been fired if he brought in Jennifer because Ivana being in the boardroom a lot according to what Donald seems to think and being very nasty stands out more than what Chris did (if Chris didn't leave Jennifer out of the boardroom). She was only brought into the boardroom 3 times this show so far (excluding when Donald called everyone down to confirm if Stacie J needed to be fired). bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 I thought last night was her 5th time in the boardroom they said. I could be totally wrong though
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Chris said that, amazingly Trump, Carolyn, George, and Ivana didn't even know that was incorrect.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Trump says a lot of things. Often they contradict (Raj is spared for taking responsibility, then fired for taking responsibility), is hypocritical ("I hate people who exaggerate") or it's plain wrong ("highest rated show on television"). Anyways, Ivana could have been fired, but she's always been lucky in that someone else was deemed more dismissable. We could call this the "horseshoe up the ass" strategy, I guess. In this case, Chris used the only card he could - "Ivana's always at the final table" - but seeing that over the last 2 tasks she actually did a not-too-bad job, it's a somewhat weak argument. Also, all of the women have come off as nasty, except maybe Sandy (but then, we've seen more of Sandy in the last 2 eps than the previous 8 combined). Overall, there isn't near as much warmth between the candidates this season as there was last season. S1 you had a good social dynamic between everyone (especially the platonic man-love between Kwame and Troy). This season everyone is more calculating, gearing everything towards the boardroom. Anyone else notice this?
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Kelly and Wes are both assholes and treat Andy like shit. All the women hate each other. Kevin seems to hate everybody. Then there was Stacie J. the world and Jennifer v. short Stacy. Does anyone think Trump rigged that competition just to really fuck with Chris?
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Interesting fact: A member of Apex has been fired 7 out of 10 times so far. Rob, John, and Stacy R were the only members of Mosaic that have been fired.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Does anyone think Trump rigged that competition just to really fuck with Chris? Happenings during the last two tasks do seem rather convenient. I've seen tow trucks deliberately cruising freeways looking for accidents, but contractors cruising neighbourhoods? And the bridal salon really did seem to be something meant to fuck with Chris, but as I've seen pointed out on other sites, he could've just hired someone to help the team out and balance out the Sandy Factor. Regardless, I'll take those things at face value until they're exposed as contrived. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 I'm sure the contractors were planned with one told to be kind of slimy just to screw with them and the other to do a good job. Didn't Chris hire someone to help and they still died? The other suspicious task was when the guys had been destroying the girls so they did that task involving clothes. I think that one was done to stop the boys from winning so much
Alro 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Kelly and Wes are both assholes and treat Andy like shit. Kelly absolutely treats Andy like shit, as in he's being a dick just because. Wes seems more like he's playing the game, but at least (seems) to respect Andy. Chris did hire somebody and still got killed. I'm not even sure that he hired her. I think she just came along. Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Kevin and Ivana went to talk to the woman about using her dresses and ended up talking her in to coming to the store. They didn't mention any exchange of money so they could have possibly got her for free and if they'd been smart with their marketing they might have actually put up a fight. I can't wait till Maria goes. The fact that ppl like Bradford and Raj are gone yet she managed to hang around for the 10k reward is just criminal. Kevin is hit and miss to me.Anytime a leader shows any sign of weakness or makes one mistake he instantly starts rolling his eyes and sighing like it's the end of the world. My nightmare is that Donald's twist will be that from here on in anyone who gets fired stays on to "help" with the rest of the tasks. Meaning that whether we like it or not, we get 7-8 more weeks of Blinky and Ivana.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 The first two times she went into the boardroom she got lucky because Branford and Stacie J were both fuckups. Bradford fucked up, Stacie J was an easy target for Midget Stacy who was willing to blame the fuck out of people so she could look flawless. My only interest in this show was hoping that when Midget Stacy was fired, Stacie J would ambush her getting into the taxi and kick her teeth down her throat. The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 This show has gone to shit without Raj there. Trump almost redeemed the firing last week with his Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo "heeeeellllllooooo" entrance into the boardroom, but not quite.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 This show has gone to shit without Raj there. Trump almost redeemed the firing last week with his Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo "heeeeellllllooooo" entrance into the boardroom, but not quite. I wish Raj success in whatever other endeavours he does. The only other two left I can say that of is Kevin (who has an awesome name - no bias, of course) and Andy, who I still think won't win, but who I hope Trump will hire anyways. The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 You could see that finish coming from a mile away. And how in the blue hell Ivana didn't throttle Jen after she jumped in and stole all the glory, I have no idea. Then again, Ivana should've been fired a month ago, so it's hard to feel bad for her. Nice to see some of the dead weight getting cleared off, but they've still got a little more to go.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 Ivana getting burned cause everyone watching with me to start laughing and cheering. I hate that bitch and hope to hear 'You're fired' come her way very soon. Maria- you're fired. Him turning to Wes and firing him too- My God
starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 You could see that finish coming from a mile away. And how in the blue hell Ivana didn't throttle Jen after she jumped in and stole all the glory, I have no idea. In hindsight, yes, I should have. But hell, I like being surprised first, and overanalyzing later. Then again, Ivana should've been fired a month ago, so it's hard to feel bad for her. It's been 8-9 weeks and counting, actually. I gotta say Seven of Nine has been amazing in how she's "weaved a spell" over everyone. She was useless in this task wrt providing something original, KNEW she was getting busywork because of that, yet she comes off best in front of a digital camera and suddenly she's the star of the team. I'm in awe.
