Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Wow. Chargers win, how about that? And Detroit might finally win a road game! And if they do, that'll win me my first week in the Pick'Em.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 The Bills are trying to lose to Leftwich. Give up a 45 yard play on 4th and 14? Damn. Would this be consided a CHOKE by the Bills or a COMEBACK by the Jags?

KingPK 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Good to see the Bills embarassed on Opening Day for a change. I'd say the Bills letting Jacksonville march down the field in the final minute after shutting them down the whole game consitutes a choke. When is the first Pats-Jets game? That actually should be a pretty interesting.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 12, 2004 The Ravens are going to have some serious issues if they refuse to throw down the field all season like today. I thought Boller's main pro was his arm strength.

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 12, 2004 The Ravens are going to have some serious issues if they refuse to throw down the field all season like today. I thought Boller's main pro was his arm strength. Problem with that, is they don't have any receivers truly capable of going down the field to take advantage of that. Kyle Boller is going to end up being the new Jeff Blake. Never better than an 8-8 quarterback, and is just good at throwing the long ball.

sfaJack 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 I guess all those "experts" who picked the Texans as some kind of surprise team will be rethinking that nonsense today. Losing at home to San Diego...HA HA HA HA!

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted September 12, 2004 What did poor Jeff Blake do to you to get grouped in with Kyle Boller? And what has Jeff Blake done to NOT distinguish that? I'm just saying they're two very similar quarterbacks. They throw the deep ball very well (and seems that's ALL they can do), can't win unelss they've got a good running game behind them, and are terribly average. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Glad to see NO's defense still being the same. *shakes head* I don't see how you can place the full blame on the defense. The offense committed three turnovers plus they committed two stupid 15 yard penalties. The defense forced two turnovers and the offense got a grand total of 7 points. Boller can't even win with a running game. Blake did pretty well in Cincy for a little bit but injuries and poor coaching did him in for good. He's not great but he's much better than Kyle Boller. Crap, at least Blake can complete SOME short passes. And Blake won a few games with his arm while Boller is just being begged not to lose anymore with his arm. sfaJack 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Four turnovers tends to do that. Obviously 4 turnovers don't help. But the Texans' biggest problem today was their inability to get a defensive stop when they needed it. Every time San Diego needed a key first down, they got it. Regardless, good teams don't lose to San Diego, at home, on opening day.
AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Man... that Jags game about made my heart burst through my chest. Leftwich sucks ass the ENTIRE game, misses TWO golden opprotunities to score the go-ahead TD before Wilford pulls down the game-winner. Now if only the Jags could get Taylor going more often so he could shred some defenses and Byron doesn't throw TWO INTs a game... Man, I fuckin' love football season... Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Big win by the Jets to finally get one in September. The secondary was a bit shaking with Chad Johnson burning them all day, but they stepped it up at the end with a pick by Erik Coleman, who looks good. The line did alright, but they got lazy on tackling when they took a 31-17 lead, but did hold on. Pennington looked great as usual, Moss dropped a few passes but looked fine, and McCareins and Pennington have nice chemistry going. Martin had a huge game, nearly 200 yards, and looked like he was 25. The offensive line helped in part of that, and they had a good game too. Overall good effort, next week off to San Diego. GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 Just got back from the Bills game. We fucked up. Not saying the team sucks - but we definately fucked up. Giving up a long bomb and a TD on the last drive - both on 4th down with your home crowd going crazy. Come on now. Mularkey is on the radio saying they'll all learn from this. We shall see. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 13, 2004 I knew the Browns were severely underrated. Noone was giving them a chance. It's always great to see a non-fan give Cleveland some respect Oh fuck the CBS announcers. Their still completely shitting on the Browns even though they're owning the Ravens. All of us Browns fans need to call CBS and tell them to not book those jackasses for another Cleveland game.
