Eddie & Angle has an "altercation" backstage...

Recommended Posts

Ummm, Triple H has very muscular legs. He isn't ripped like 2000 or even when he was posing against Steiner, but the man's legs are huge.

And like I said earlier, anything can happen in a fight. Angle probably wouldn't win *every* time. There's a reason they have the fights in UFC and boxing and whatever other kind of sport. Just because a man should win, doesn't mean it will happen.

No, there have been various reports by meltzer, Keller etc that both Angle and Lesnar toyed with Show in backstage "matches". Realistically, Show would blow up *very* quickly (look at Bob Sapp and pack on 125 pounds and no training) and Kurt would school him.

Yeah, but if this was a real fight? Big Show would just have to grab Angle by the throat and punch him in the face. I mean, it's that simple.

Big Show's probably the last guy to mess with in the locker room. He'd destroy anyone...even Angle, and I'm a major fan of him.

If it were a real fight, he'd do the same thing. Do you have any idea how slow Show must be? Coupled with the fact that Angle is a former *Olympic* level wrestler. It'd be no contest. Hell, look at the match between Sugiura and Giant Silva from Pride. That's about the difference between Angle and Show. Sugiura kicked his ass and I have no doubts he'd do the same to a guy who has no fighting experience (wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing, etc) at all.

This reminds em of those threads when people asked who they'd want on their side in a real fight from WWE and people were picking Scott Steiner over Angle. It was nutty then too.

Dude, I'm not talking about seeing Big Show vs. Kurt Angle in a fucking Pride match or an amateur wrestling match. Obviously Angle would take everyone down, and if he was healthy enough, he could probably go whoop everyone up in Pride/UFC/whatever.

I'm talking about on the streets...in the locker room...wherever. A real fight. No buildup in front of an audience so you can prepare for it.

Oh, and if they both grabbed each others throats, I'd say Big Show just has a little bit of the advantage. Big Show is just like Andre, except 10 times more athletic (strength wise, cardio wise, etc...he's got loads more of muscle than Andre had) and NO ONE fucked with Andre. You never hear about stories of people getting in fights with someone like Big Show for a reason. And take a guess who was the one who broke up the Angle/Eddie fight?

I'd imagine that Big Show could beat Angle. Angle could obviously take him in an amateur style fight once Show is blown up. But he's not going to just reach up and grab Show in a front facelock, is he? Show is a damn powerful guy and if he knows how to throw a punch, he'd do serious damage to Angle. Olympic medallist or not, if Show grabbed you by the throat up against a wall I'd imagine you wouldn't be able to much before he punched your face in.

Do you guys not understand stamina or the fact that Show is more than likely highly clumsy. (just based on his proportions and all the weight he's carrying?).

I have no doubt at all Angle could take him down. Like I said, Show would be blown up *very* quickly. You need to get over the size issue here. It's not as big of an advantage as you think. You're also thinking that if Show grabbed him, it'd be over in a second. Why? Is he a great striker? Does he have considerably fast hands? Can he control Angle long enough to finish him? I'd wager no to all those questions.

I wouldn't quite say they were crazy about Steiner, he was at one point an all-American wrestler at the University of Michigan.

As for Show, it's really tough. Would Angel shoot quick enough and what kind of damage can Show pull off in the clinch or standing? Can he defense? We know a lot about Angle's background, but little of anyone else.

From all reports, Show is legitimately very strong, and by "winded" it's being made like he'll make a move and then be gasping for breath. I doubt that.

We're also assuming he'll be slow, lumbering and take his sweet time like he does in the ring, but I have no doubt at all that he could be quick if he really wanted to.

That being said, Angle's training would allow him to prevail, though Show's size and strength advantage would play a significant factor.

Angle is very strong but strong enough to take Show down from the clinch? Doubtful. Yes, Show would probably be gassed early on but like somebody said, it's not a PRIDE fight, it's a streetfight. Angle would need to either formulate a game plan from the get-go and stick to it or pick his points when it comes to attacking Show because if Show got ahold of Angle even for a second it'd be all over.

Say Angle did take Show down, then what? Mount him and reign down punches? Show has tossed around guys bigger then Angle before, it wouldn't be a thing for him to just shift his weight and move Angle off of him.

Show takes the fight, easy. Even a winded Big Show could break Kurt Angle's neck with his bare hands.

Is Angle strong enough to take Show down from a double-leg? Cause all Show would have to do is sprawl (if you could call if that) and put all his weight down on Angle's back and neck, in which case, Kurt be fucked.

If how grabs Angle around the throat and shoves him against a wall, what is Angle gonna do exactly? Show doesn't need quick hands to punch Angle in that position, and I'd wager that if Show punched someone that they wouldn't be getting up any time soon.

I could see Angle taking him by the legs, but it'd be hard for Angle to get as good of a grip on Show as he would anyone else to do any damage...and if Show landed on Angle, then it'd be fight over.

As for the 'Show getting blown up' arguement, if it goes more than 5 minutes then I'd consider it. But he's not going to get winded any quicker than that. 500 pounds or not, he's not THAT badly conditioned.

seeing how Bob Sapp who was considerably better conditioned thanShow was blwoing up in 2-3 minutes in some fights, I have some doubts about Show lasting 5.

Wow, this has turned into a 'who would win a shoot' thread. It's like were over at the Wrestling Classics message board. Next thing you know, someone will ask if Lou Thesz could beat Kurt Angle in a shoot.

A double leg takedown is more about balance and control than it is about strength. If Kurt were to wrap his arms behind Big Shows knees and shift, Big Show would lose balance and topple over. Kurt has the speed to do that, and I doubt Big Show has the reaction time to stop it. Keeping Big Show down is another thing.

Vader can confirm that.

I've heard a few different stories about this altercation so it's no guarantee that Orndorff can handle Vader.

Hell lets go all out.  What about

Bill Goldberg

Mark Henry

Shelton Benjamin

Who's gonna give Kurt the most trouble.

Bad News Brown would destroy all of them. That'd be an interesting fight. Bad News vs Angle. Bad News was a bronze medalist in judo (and only because he was screwed out of the gold), taught the New York police force self defence and wasn't given the belt he was promised by Vince because according to Vince nobody could take it off of him if Bad News decided not to lose it (according to Bad News). Dynamite talks about how tough he was in his book too.

Ok then tell me this, who's stronger Bruce Lee or Zorro? both in their prime of course.

As someone who lifts weights I must say that Bruce Lee's strength is unreal. Pound for pound or even not going by pound for pound the guy's stength is an inspiration and completely amazing.

Goldberg would be no trouble at all for Angle. I think he could out think Benjamin, but SB is younger so he may be quick enough to counter that. I'm going for Henry, if only because it would be harder to get someone that thick onto the ground.

If Jericho could take down Goldberg it'd be no problem for Angle.

Taker vs Goldberg is the money match because both of them would try and work their fantasty psuedo-MMA styles into the match but it wouldn't be done correctly all the time so it would be hilarious.

I forgot about how good an amateur Benjamin was. Didn't he have a good shot to go real far with the amateur wrestling until he decided to go into the WWE?
