Update on Tough Enough 4

Recommended Posts

It sounds as if Al Snow will be the only trainer for Tough Enough 4. While Lance Storm was considered, he is occupied with his work in OVW. Bill Demott was another possibility since he isn't active as a wrestler anymore, but WWE officials have decided that since the show is not 30 minutes long, only one trainer is necessary. While there may be guest trainers in the future, officials also believe that it is not worth pulling anyone off the active roster for this. The training and tapings begin in late October at Traxx in Connecticut

There continues to be talk of WWE expanding its developmental system to include a training center in Atlanta, Ga. Jody Hamilton's name is being bandied about as possibly leading up this venture. The goal would be to run shows regularly. THe plan is to work actual shows with live crowds to help get the younger wrestlers feet wet. It could be a "starting point" training territory like OVW or it could be a "second stage" training territory where OVW wrestlers would "graduate to" for further training and a new type of in-ring experience before heading over to WWE and the big stage.

Jesse Matheny, a former Tough Enough contestant no longer works in the production department of WWE.

I still don't see why they can't just get their own 1/2 hour show on one of the channels?

God Damnit, they need to put one up in Conn. or Boston. Two of there training centers in the South is so fucking retarded.

They should just bring back several regional promotions. Have OVW cover Ohio, PA, VA, GA, etc. Maybe put one in Florida. Another in Texas. Maybe one in Washington or Calgary. Put together some low budget shows for local syndication, run small shows and then do arena house shows with WWE talent mixed in. OVW could be Cornette. Maybe have HBK run the Texas operation. The Harts run Calgary.

Vince will see it as the NWA, then try and ruin the shows

Wasn't she that small, like 4'3, tiny, thing? That looked like a 13 year old girl?

I think she cried a lot, too. A columnist on onlineonslaught.com does a rib on her about it sometimes.

AFAIK, no trainer with any WWE ties (direct or indirect) WANTS to work out of the Northeast.

Cornette would rather get a sex-change than move back to Connecticut. Dr. Tom Pritchard's been fired. Les Thatcher works out of Cincinnati and was cut as a developmental program trainer about two years back.

The only guy who MIGHT be able to run one in the Northeast is Paul E, but he's death when it comes to balancing the books and he's already too involved with WWE creative to spend time running a territory.
