Brush with Greatness Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Know we have the Mozilla thread, but thought I would start one for everyones thoughts on Firefox. Is anyone else using it and what are your thoughts?
Tawren Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 I have it. Far better than Netscape, Opera, or IE. Tabs > *.
razazteca Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Have you tried the new 1.0 version?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 I cant say that I see much difference in 1.0PR vs the .9 release that I downloaded a while back. There are a few minor changes, but everything seems to work as well as it did before.
Guest T®ITEC Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Hells yeah, man. I made the switch from IE to 1.0 when the new version came out. I've yet to miss IE at all.
Stephen Joseph Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Made the switch on my personal computer awhile ago, haven't looked back since.
bobobrazil1984 Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 well i've switched to the mozilla suite. I tried firefox but it felt kinda glitchy.
Guest ramsdell Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 I had IE but spyware kept getting on my computer. I learned of Firefox from another thread here and I just love it
LaParkaYourCar Posted November 10, 2004 Report Posted November 10, 2004 I just wanted to bump this to say that Firefox 1.0 (the actual one, not the preview) is out now.
Guest BDC Posted November 10, 2004 Report Posted November 10, 2004 I use firefox and it's fantastic. The only problems I ever have are on some downloads, so I just copy the URL for IE, but that's only for those occasions
the max Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Firefox doesn't agree with my computer, so I'm on Firebird. Seems the same without all of the extra bells and whistles.
Guest P!NK. Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 The download manager is a little sketchy, but the bookmark toolbar and tabs (and lack of spyware) are definite checks in the plus column. I'd definitely grab it over IE.
