Breaking News: One Dead in Detroit Daycare Shooting

One person was killed and at least three others were wounded following a multiple shooting at a daycare center on Detroit’s northwest side. Tuesday morning, police said a suspect was still on the loose.

 

Several people were taken by ambulance to Sinai Grace Hospital following the incident that took place Tuesday morning at a licensed daycare facility.

 

Both Detroit and Michigan State Police responded to the scene. The daycare center is operated in a home on Woodbine, just northwest of 7 Mile and Telegraph.

 

Initially, it appeared the shootings might have taken place just outside the home.

 

Two people at the daycare facility, which backs up to Telegraph Road, ran through its backyard and flagged down Michigan State Police troopers.

 

By 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick had arrived at the scene and was seen speaking to investigators.

Saw it on local news a minute ago. From what they're saying the guy walked up to the door, asked someone if it was a daycare, and when he found out it was he started shooting

Well...maybe he had those special sunglasses that Rowdy Roddy had in They Live that allowed him to see the aliens that were being trained their by our government for special reconaissance and assassination purposes. After all, nobody ever suspects a 3-year-old of carrying out a systematic murder.
