Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Using Kerry's own words is effective. -=Mike
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush's reactions to Kerry can be summed up as "He said a bad thing! Waaaah!" With a lot more pauses.
Justice Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Why isn't Kerry looking at the camera? He's addressing the Moderator, which is a big aestetic mistake. And I'll agree with Tyler: he needs to come off a little less angry. Then again, Kerry looks goofy as fuck when he gives a big smile. I'd stop it that as well if I were him.
Steviekick Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Kerry does look a little more intelligent taking notes inbetween his talking time whereas Bush kinda just looks generally annoyed.
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush's reactions to Kerry can be summed up as "He said a bad thing! Waaaah!" With a lot more pauses. No, not really...

Make freaking eye contact.

teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I also find it ironic that Kerry can even say the name "Ronald Reagan" considering how he tried to undermine every major Reagan initiative he could while he was in the Senate during that administration.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh god, Kerry saying he has anything resembling a consistent position is like saying Jimmy Carter is a foreign policy expert.
Guest BDC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush's reactions to Kerry can be summed up as "He said a bad thing! Waaaah!" With a lot more pauses. Why not actually try to contribute something? I think the President is sticking to what people get behind him about. I think that's a good thing.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush is just trying to tear down Kerry (and vice versa) What about HIS policies?
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush isn't going to win this flip-flop argument. He's taking a semantics issue and trying to run a mile with it. Kerry just explained himself and Bush is trying to say he didn't say something he just said.

Yeah, that's pretty dumb rhetorically. You're not going to convince any conservative/moderates to suddenly jump aboard by trying to link yourself with Reagan, it just looks stupid.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Jesus, ANSWER THE QUESTION THEN GET INTO THE TOUCHING STORIES!!! -=Mike

Maybe. But it is a diplomatic way of getting a shout out to his republican homies.

No wonder his campaign is trying to lower expectations for the debate.

Bush might not win the flip flop argument, but Kerry isn't going to shed the flip flop label anytime soon, whether you think that's fair or not...
GreatWhiteNope Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "prayed, teared up and laughed some" What was funny. I demand to know.

But Bush is just meandering now. -=Mike
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I hate touching stories in debates. Agreed. I remember Bush and Gore talking about old ladies losing medicare last time.
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Vietnam reference... drink, motherfucker, drink!
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "losing people in combat" "come back from fighting in that war" 2 more war references...
