Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Attention yankess: The Twins are not a good enough team to lose to. You all suck.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 And the result would have been the same if Morneau ran.
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 And the result would have been the same if Morneau ran. Agreed, wasn't the best of plans. And the rook goes down after some ugly ugly pitches.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I still don't understand why Anglesault thinks Minnesota is a bad team.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 That was a TERRIBLE AB for Kubel, Rivera can now get out of it with the game tied
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Game tied going to bottom of the 8th, Gardenhire was pissed in the dugout
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 If they don't score a run NOW...
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I know its technically a BS for Rivera, but don't you think there should be some type of rule change about saves? I know Mo game up the hits, but they weren't his baserunners.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I still don't understand why Anglesault thinks Minnesota is a bad team. The Yankees are better. By quite a bit.

I know Mo game up the hits, but they weren't his baserunners. But it's his job. You come into tight situations and you bail out the pitcher before you. Change the rules and a save means even less than it does now.
UZI Suicide Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I still don't understand why Anglesault thinks Minnesota is a bad team. The Yankees are better. By quite a bit. So that makes the Twins a bad team?
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I still don't understand why Anglesault thinks Minnesota is a bad team. They're a decent team that got into the playoffs because everyone else in their division is God Awful.

I know Mo game up the hits, but they weren't his baserunners. Personally, I think the save should be thrown completely off the scoresheets.

strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Wouldn't the Union have a fit if the save rule was abolished?, relievers would probably make a lot less money, and it would affect arbitration
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 The save debate could be interesting, so I started a separate thread for it.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Twins have very weak hitters coming up, the game should still be tied going to the bottom of the 9th.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What a mess. What a fucking mess.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Great game. Sucks (For Twins fans) about the Ground Rule Double. Go Twins!!!
Lightning Flik Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Twins are so taking this series. I feel sorry for Yanks fans.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Hey everyone, flip to ESPN 2 for some pre-game telecast stuff about the Angels.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Oh, look, the quick inning. Just fluke out a run guys. Make the series interesting.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Yankees have poor hitters coming up, too. Which means a walk off home run.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Easy inning for Rivera, 5-5 in the bottom of the 9th
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Sierra, he's a "journeyman" now, right? He went Texas, Oakland then who before Yankees?
2GOLD Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Sierra, he's a "journeyman" now, right? He went Texas, Oakland then who before Yankees? Seattle, Toronto, Detriot, and the White Sox. Plus a short stint with Cinncinatti The guy has been everywhere.
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Looks like Sturtze is gonna have to come up huge.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I hope this goes like 16 innings. Not a chance in hell with these hitters, but I have little work to do tonight and would like a marathon.
