Guest Smues Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Braves lose, Yankees win, all I need is the Angels to win and I'll have an 0/3 day on who I want to win, right after a 3/3 day.
Paul Stanley Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Jeter is amazing. Game was amazing. This wouldn't have happened had they left Nathan in. Now his confidence is shot, and so are the Twins. Not the entire Twins, just Joe Nathan's.
Slayer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Fuck the mother fucking Yankees I have the feeling I'll be saying that too much this again this postseason
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 That game will be an "ESPN instant classic" as it should be.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 What exactly was so amazing about what Jeter did? He took four pitches from a pitcher who couldn't find the strike zone, and ran home on a sacrifice fly.
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 *plays Evolution's theme and poses* *pyro goes off in my living room* Dames
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 *plays Evolution's theme and poses* *pyro goes off in my living room* Dames Big Dames Bastista? yur an animaul!
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 How did Jeter win this game? Seriously, he just took 4 pitches and scored on a sac fly
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What exactly was so amazing about what Jeter did? He took four pitches from a pitcher who couldn't find the strike zone, and ran home on a sacrifice fly. Jeter could've been taking foolish swings. He timed the tag otu perfectly and positioned his body in a way where it would be difficult to tag. Not everyone could've made it home safely.
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Who said it was Jeter? He had a good eye, took his pitches, and ran the bases well. A-Rod was big, as was Matzui.
Eclipse Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Quite the nailbiter game there, and once A Rod hit that ball, I sensed a Yankee win. I was surprised to see Jeter run after that, and it capped off an amazing comeback....oyea.
Guest Smues Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 HE HAD THE PATIENCE TO TAKE 4 PITCHES! A MERE MORTAL WOULD HAVE SWU....oh fuck I don't know. I have no clue why he's being praised here.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What about Cairo?, he's the one who got the rally started
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...Here's a funny little tidbit for ya... Evolution's full theme is my phone ringtone and I play it whenever I deem appropriate....which is most of the time Dames

I have no clue why he's being praised here. He could've gotten antsy and impatient and tried to swing for the fences...but he stayed patient and had a smart at bat, not all of those were too far from the strike zone
mike546 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I said it at the spurt of the moment. When I watched the play happen, I though Jones had an amazing arm, so I thought Jeter was done. I didn't see that he threw it flat footed, and it got cut off. but who cares, GO YANKEES~!!
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...Here's a funny little tidbit for ya... Evolution's full theme is my phone ringtone and I play it whenever I deem appropriate....which is most of the time Dames Do you randomly taunt at the top of ramps?
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...I can't WAIT to go into work tomorrow and face off against all the shit talkers. Dames
Cartman Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Thank you Yankees, keeping my Sox/Yanks ALCS Dream alive!

Evolution's full theme is my phone ringtone and I play it whenever I deem appropriate....which is most of the time Dames Do you randomly taunt at the top of ramps? I don't need a ramp. Shit, when my phone goes off, two things happen... 1. Everything I do is in slow motion for a few seconds... 2. I decide whether or not the person calling is worth picking up the phone and ending the song. Dames
KingPK Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I had a real bad feeling once Nathan came out for the 12th. Keeping your closer in for a third inning is a gamble that only pays off if your name is Mariano Rivera. The Twins (and Grady Gardenheimer) blew a HUGE chance tonight. You DON'T want to give the Yankees momentum in October.
strummer Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Don't know if the Twins will be able to recover from this. Could be easy sailing for the Yanks the next 2 games
Guest Coffey Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 ...I can't WAIT to go into work tomorrow and face off against all the shit talkers. Dames I can already tell you what they'll say. "Hey, we got one game on the road. We split the first two in New York. That's what the goal was! The next two are in the Twin Cities, we'll see how it turns out." Factor in redneck, ebonic talk to make the area appropriate. I worked at a factory, so I'm used to the "WE NEED SUM BEER!" sentiment.

The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Sox fans don't want us to lose now... They want to (try to) do it. The Twins just woke up the Yankees...and the Sox fans know it. Dames

You know what? God help the press if they actually had to admit that Alex Rodriguez is a better player than Derek Jeter. The double is EASILY the key hit in the rally. And after today's games, here is Rodriguez's career postseason line.... .380/.409/.619
The Dames Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 If the ball A-Rod hit went about 3-5 feet farther, he'd get all the credit. Dames
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I'm sorry. Is that better?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 He should anyway. If he hits into a double play, the Yankees might have been done.
Eclipse Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Nathan should have been out way before. Leaving him in lead to what we just saw...
