Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 People on the Angels board are complaining about the Umps - saying they were crappy calls towards the Red Sox earlier, and now towards the Angels. Any truth to this?

Guest Anglesault Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Anglesault, the Angels are useless? Are you kidding me? Did you see their comeback? A "useless" team wouldn't be able to do that. It means jack + shit if they lose. They had one job coming into this series. Win one game.

I'd love to see the BoSox go down 3 straight especially after choking the lead.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Another chance to drive in a run. And it is Figgins. It is either going to be a lame out or a two run triple.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Heh - just guess... If we can hold the top of Boston's order, ours is up next. I just hope we can get that far...
Guest Smues Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 These camera angels are driving me nuts.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Nice one, Washburn. Now fuck off in the off-season.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 So, I think Dodgers will be joining the Angels on the gold course tomorrow. I can't believe this. I thought the Angels could win this series.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 A certain Angels manager needs to be canned.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU BIG PAPI
the max Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 A certain Angels manager needs to be canned. Just stay away from threads that don't involve the Yankees.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I can now safely say... Bring on the fucking Yankees.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 FUCK!!!!!! While they made the change, I told my brother that I was going to kill Scioscia if Washburn lost the game, luckily for him I'm not a man of my word. Can't believe he took out K Rod, just can't.
the max Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 K-Rod could have stayed, yes, but Scoscia wanted that lefty-lefty match-up. Plus, Rodriguez had gone 2 ⅔ innings at that point, and looked to be tiring.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 9, 2004 Author Report Posted October 9, 2004 It should be noted that Ortiz has a sizable platoon split. It was a defensable move.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 A certain Angels manager needs to be canned. Just stay away from threads that don't involve the Yankees. If you're gonna go down, you go down with your best. He didn't.

If you're gonna go down, you go down with your best. He didn't. We don't know how well his best would have done. As it is, it's because of Scoscia that the Angels even tied the game, thanks to his moves. So, let's chalk up another tally to Anglesault overreacting to something. That brings your total to one million. Collect your novelty coffee mug at the back door.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Seeing Pedro with his midget in the locker room celebrating and Big Papi having goggles in the locker room = priceless.
KingPK Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Schilling's carefully covering Damon's hair with champagne LOL. Faaaaantastic start from Arroyo (if he pitches at that level the whole postseason, that staff just got MORE dangerous), and I hate that he didn't get the victory, but oh well. And now, ORTIZ~! (or PAPI~!) has been bestowed the prestigious tilde-bang designation for Red Sox Nation. 8 more to go... One more thing: Why didn't Washburn get the loss? Yeah, K-Rod put the winning run on, but Washburn gave up the game-ending hit.
iliketurtles Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Pedro's got Ortiz goggles. This is fucking hilarious.
the max Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 K-Rod gets the loss because he's responsible for Bellhorn/Reese, the runner that crossed first and won the game. As for the "go out with your best" thing, the Red Sox went with Lowe for the 10th. Not their best. They USED their best to get to that point, being Foulke.
