Bored Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I decided to create a seperate thread for tommorrow's game as obviously there will be a lot of posts for it. We'll have the TWiCFB thread focus on the rest of the games on Saturday. Let the bickering begin!
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Expect Dama's post count to hit Choken levels tomorrow
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Goddamnit OU, I have 75 on you tomorrow with my bookie, and a 50 dollar bet with my stepdad(went to Texas). Dama your boys better not fail me now.
Damaramu Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I doubt they will. As I've said before.....there is a severe sideline mismatch in this game. You have Bob Stoops who is probably the best coach in the country and Mack Brown.....who can't win the big one. Not to mention that Texas has no confidence while OU has tons. Nobody I've seen is predicting Texas to win....hell Texas isn't even predicting Texas to win. Oh and unfortunately I'll be at a friends house watching the game so my post count won't get to explode during the game. Sorry to dissapoint. But if we lose you can expect me to be on after the game. If we win.....then a post of celebration. So is this game nationally televised?
Fökai Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 So is this game nationally televised? Yes - noon EST on ABC. The other big games are scheduled at other times... --USC/Cal at 3:30 EST on ABC (West Coast affiliate). --Wisconsin/The Ohio State at 3:30 EST on ABC (East Coast affiliate). --Georgia/Tennessee at 3:30 EST on CBS.
sfaJack Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Nobody I've seen is predicting Texas to win....hell Texas isn't even predicting Texas to win. Weird. I live in Houston, and just about all the sportswriters and talk show hosts here are picking UT for the upset. Of course, 70% of them went to UT... Personally, I'm taking OU for the simple reason that until UT proves they can win this game, I don't see how they can be picked. Sooners win, 31-20.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I'm also in the minority that is picking UT to pull out the upset.
CanadianChris Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Put me down in the supposed minority as well.
Damaramu Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Corso just picked the upset! Eh...he picks a lot of upsets. I think Cal has a better chance of beating USC than Texas does of beating OU.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 That's suprising, I thought Musberger and Danielson would be doing this game.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 It won't be the same without Dama on the board for this game, I was expecting Anglesault-like reactions.
razazteca Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Corso just picked the upset! Eh...he picks a lot of upsets. I think Cal has a better chance of beating USC than Texas does of beating OU. Corso wanted West Virginia and Ball State in BCS bowl games.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Well, this fucking sucks. I'm going through EVERY FUCKING CHANNEl, and all I get is the fucking Pitt game. And I have THREE ABC affiliates on my cable system. I guess I'll have to settle for watching the battle for the Little Brown Jug. Let's go Gophers!
yankovic fan Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 That was a fumble, but whatever. I'm a fan of upsets and watching top teams lose. So that about sums up my thoughts on this game (and the USC game).
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Texas has to start converting in Sooner territory if they're going to win this game, because it seems like Adrian Peterson is going to bust a huge run out at any minute.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 UT's defense has been playing very well up to this point... if UT can score some points, they just might have a chance.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Texas needs one big play, like a play action pass to the end zone to really get the momentum.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Mack's shitty playcalling reared its head again there
B. Brian Brunzell Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Seven yds. passing through the first quarter ain't gonna get it done for UT.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 If Texas had an offense, they'd be up 14-0 right now
Guest Flyboy Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 UT is OWNING OU defensively... they must frickin' score, though.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 If OU loses this game, Dama should off himself......seriously
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 That's the last thing Texas needed.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 That's the last thing Texas needed. And, AGAIN.. their defense bails them out -- they MUST score. They have shown they can win this game.
therealworldschampion Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 The Texas defense is saving them right now. If the offense can get anything going, Texas may win this game.
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 If OU loses this game, Dama should off himself......seriously hahahahahahaha Took someone long enough to score in this game.
iggymcfly Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 What happened to Jason White? Adrian Peterson's been bailing the Sooner offense a little bit, but the passing game's been sucking dick. I think if anything, this game proves that White was the product of a system and good receivers when he won his Heisman, and he's really not all that good of a quarterback. (I'm not saying he's not an above average college QB, but as an NFL prospect he should be lucky to get picked up in the 6th round.)
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 as an NFL prospect he should be lucky to get picked up in the 6th round. That sounds like another Oklahoma QB... Josh Heupel, anyone?
