bob_barron Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 4 more innings for Boston to get two runs. Let's see if they can do it
strummer Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Nixon with a sliding catch to save the Sox
the max Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Trot saves the game with that catch. Â Still within distance after 6.5.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I've got the chat running... Â aim:gochat?roomname=tsmbaseballchat
mike546 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Will the PLEASE stop showing the faces of depressed Sox fans? Â I enjoy it as much as any other Yankee fan, but enough is enough.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Outfielders hotdogging it out there tonight. Â Something I found kind of funny. Pedro got the Maddux call all night up until the 100th pitch. Then the ump stopped calling it.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Yankees allowing bad baseball players to get to them again. Â Mark Bellhorn? The man who offers exactly zero to that Red Sox team?
Guest LooneyTune Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Worst. God Bless America. Ever.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Yankees allowing bad baseball players to get to them again. Mark Bellhorn? The man who offers exactly zero to that Red Sox team? You're underestimating Bellhorn. Sure he's had a bad postseason. He also had a .373 OBP this season.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 And Orlando Cabrera, yet another bad baseball player, continues it.

A disaster behind the plate and in the field.  Really, if you're not going to hit a god damn thing and you're not going to make ANY play in the field, you had better walk.

You know as well as I do that 20 at bats is not a solid indicator of a player's true ability. I wouldn't say Jeter is terrible because he's hitting .200 for the same reason.

Jeter has also had a much better season and career than Bellhorn.  Bellhorn is probably better than he's showing, but he's still not all that good.
mike546 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 WHY DO THEY KEEP TAKING AWAY ABS FROM JETER? Â Unbelivable.
mike546 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 SEE? Â Jesus fucking christ. Â Let Jeter swing.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Hideki can engrave the MVP trophy here.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 (edited) This Foulke situation is beyond distressing. Edited October 19, 2004 by Anglesault
mike546 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Thats like the billionth bloop NOT to fucking drop tonight.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 I think I've seen Manny Ramirez make two a little above average catches in the last hour. That is not a good sign.
KingPK Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Game over. Series over.  Life over.  Didnt you say the same thing last night? He's what we scholars call "jumpus conclusis".  He also said the Pats' win streak was over about 5 times this season, and declared them dead two weeks into last season (I can dig up the quotes).
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 There is not a chance in HELL that we win this game. NONE. Zero.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 well hey, its a 1 run game now...
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 There is not a chance in HELL that we win this game. NONE. Zero. Shut up.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 We HAD to bring Tom Gordon into a NINETEEN TO FUCKING EIGHT GAME, didn't we?
Guest GreatOne Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 There is not a chance in HELL that we win this game. NONE. Zero. Shut up. Well he does have this habit of talking up Pedro and Schilling like they're the two best pitchers of all time which is a little odd for a Yankee fan...................
