MrRant Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 I understand checking for receipts when walking out of a store with something like a DVD player, DVDs, video games, clothes etc without a bag... but I got asked for a receipt when I was walking out with cat litter and cat food today at Walmart. Come on now... how many people are going in and jacking cat litter and/or cat food?
Guest El Satanico Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 This would be funnier if it was feminine hygeine products or adult diapers.
The Mandarin Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 If you get the two disc Special Edition of Goodfellas, there's a deleted scene where Tommy sells cat food out of the back of a truck for a year.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 :opens trunk: what chu want...I got some purina some Friskies and just because I like you...check out this primo Eukanuba...fresh off the truck
kkktookmybabyaway Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Some Wal-Marts, and all Sam's Clubs, are Nazis when it comes to recepit checking. And I once busted a nun for "shoplifting" so I don't blame Big Business for their anti-theft practices. And if you go to Sam's Club, Rant, you can get a 40lb bucket of clumpable cat litter for $8 -- that's the only reason I step foot in that place; the better half buys other stuff there though...
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 I have never once been stopped like that, and I even look like a criminal.
Guest Smues Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 At a dorm cafeteria I used to work at they never gave a shit about customers, but all employees had to get receipts for anything we bought. It was such a load of shit, especially since the receipt machine would be broken half the time, and the other half the cashier would forget to print it since it didn't do it automatically. I remember being really angry when I had to pull out my receipt for a fucking 25 cent newspaper.
The Metal Maniac Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 If that Kitty Litter wasn't in a bag, that's why they checked. Anytime an item comes through that's too big to fit in a bag, they're supposed to check the recipt.
