Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Wow, I think I picked *3* winners going into MNF. I'm as bad as the real Dolphins.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Sapp is playing defensive end on the 3-4 defense. They have Sapp and Washington and playing a 3-4? That's like trading for Champ Baily and having him play strong safety. They deserve to lose... EXACTLY. Thats what Sapp is complaining about and why he has .5 sacks this year. Totally misused. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Say, are there any good free-agent defensivemen on the market that the Colts could logically pick up, to try to fix up their atrocity of a D.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 You're right about that, Pretty in Pink. I was observing Sapp in person real closely and he couldn't really get to Drew Brees (not exactly the most mobile QB) because he's in his 30's, playing a position he hasn't played for in some time and isn't the fastest person to play the position. Though I will say that I doubt Norv will make it to next year as Raiders head coach if they keep this up. For Jesus's sakes they lost to two of their rivals (Denver and San Diego). Norv totally messed this team up. All of their gambles have failed including signing Kerry Collins, Ted Washington, Warren Sapp; playing the 3-4 defense; not playing Gallery at LT; making Ray Buchanon a safety, ect... Its been a total wash out. The saddest part? All of the teams who have worse records than them have had major injuries or retirements. This is the Raiders team. Its disgusting. Outside of a few players, no one is safe. Charles Woodson will probably bolt because of this season too. I'll stand by them, but certainly not with ther furver I've had in the past. Plus I said from day one, even look at the TSM mock draft, the Raiders should've picked Ben Roethlisberger. Heck, even Roy Williams.
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 The Raiders should be using Washington and Sapp to stuff the run in a 4-3 defense. They may be older but they are still massive and can create an immovable wall. They arent much of a pass rushing threat, Sapp had a respectable 5 sacks is 03' and Washington had only 2. Of course no one on the D line is a real threat with their ends combining for 5 sacks last year. Norv fucked this team up.
