Yes, OBL should have been found by now. Yes, finding him would have wrapped up the election for Bush.

 

No, finding OBL does not necessarily mean America is safe and secure. Killing OBL does not either.

 

How do I justify that logic? Well, let's say I'd like to put an end to an organization, say, oh, Christianity. Well, if I go kill the Pope, is Christianity going to end? Nope. If I kill OBL, will Al-Qaeda crumble? Nope.

 

OBL will be viewed as a martyr. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure he referred to the suicide hijackers as martyrs at one point. Now, OBL getting found and shot by a soldier hardly classifies him as a martyr, but to the thousands of people who view him as a leader, he will be seen that way. It seems to me that OBL's death would only incite more Anti-Americanism from those who cling to OBL's words.

 

Let's say he's caught and killed. Most Americans will probably breathe a say of relief and say, ok, now we're safe. Know why? I don't mean to step on any toes here, and I'm sorry if I offend any of you, but many Americans are gullible, stupid, stubborn people who think what happens on the news is exactly and all of what happens. Many will think, oh, he's gone, so we're safe now. "We Got Him, Too" shirts will surface. Know what? You were pretty safe before hand from terrorism. Obviously, 9-11 was awful and tragic, but what has really happened(and I mean full plan gone through) since? And no, not all Americans fall into the category above.

 

Yes, if they find him, make him do slave labour or something demeaning instead of up and killing him. While I do think he deserves to die, he deserves some kind of humiliation first.
