Lt. Al Giardello Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 - Paul Heyman would like to trade Kurt Angle to the RAW brand for Chris Benoit. The reason behind this is that Heyman would like to separate Angle and Undertaker, who have been playing politics in the Smackdown lockerroom. One advantage of having Kurt Angle on RAW would be to setup the dream match of Angle vs. Shawn Michaels. This trade proposal was not accepted and do not expect the two to switch brands in the near future. Credit: WrestlingObserver.com Newsletter This would be interesting, to shake things up. And an Angle/HBK fued would FUCKING RULE. But the thing is I see HHH holding Kurt down, and keeping him at the upper-midcard level, and never at the main event. I would rather have Kurt Angle as a heel champion, then Triple H anyday.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Well HHH does need someone new to beat.

Twisted Intestine Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Angle would never get over as a main eventer these days. Especially with the whole HHH/Randy Orton feud coming.. he'd probably have to wait at least a couple more years before he touched the main event.
AlwaysPissedOff Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Since when is HBK/Angle a "dream match"?
Twisted Intestine Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Since when is HBK/Angle a "dream match"? I don't think they'd work well together.. Edit: Both don't know how to sell!
Lt. Al Giardello Posted October 31, 2004 Author Report Posted October 31, 2004 Since when is HBK/Angle a "dream match"? I don't know about you, but alot of people want to see this.
AlwaysPissedOff Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Then don't count me as one of 'em. Personally, HBK and Angle are two of the most overrated guys I've ever seen. Now, while that doesn't mean they can't have a good match together, it's just that I'd highly doubt it.
The Dames Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Since when is HBK/Angle a "dream match"? I don't know about you, but alot of people want to see this. A "dream match" back in the day (before the purchase of WCW ) was something akin to a match that you NEVER would be able to see barring some unforeseen event, such as a big name jumping feds. Flair/Hogan in the 80's & early 90's was considered a dream match. Sting/Bret Hart for years was considered one. Goldberg/Austin was considered one for years as well, even though that never happened. The fans realize that Angle/HBK is something that the fed could put together fairly easily since no one really believes that Smackdown & Raw are two separate "companies". There really aren't any dream matches left, since there isn't any viable competition. Dames
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 The only dream matches left are Austin/Goldberg and Austin/Hogan.
iggymcfly Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Well, apparently it's not going to happen, but Angle coming to Raw is one of the few things that could actually make me want to watch Raw again. I can't stand watching his shitty angles on Smackdown (Luther Reigns drives me up a wall too), and Raw's too stale and boring for me to watch right now, but Angle on Raw sounds really interesting to me for some reason. If I was writing, I think it would be kind of tight for Angle to start his own heel faction on Raw that always tries to one up Evolution. i.e. Evolution beats down Orton and Jericho, so Angle's faction walks by Evolution on the ramp, Angle stares down HHH, before his faction comes down, and puts both of them through tables. To make the group, I'd start with a Shelton Benjain heel turn, for some semblance of continuity, and then Angle could add on maybe Val Venis or a heel William Regal to help fill out the faction.
Guest LooneyTune Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Angle has to be the only person who hasn't jumped shows that has been around since the Brand Split happend (that people care about).
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Angle has to be the only person who hasn't jumped shows that has been around since the Brand Split happend (that people care about). Undertaker, Kane.

Brett Favre Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Trade who to Smackdown? Benoit doesn't even get attention on these boards anymore.

AlwaysPissedOff Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 I can't recall a single time Kane was on SD post-brand split except for when he gave that stupid eulogy to help kick-off the PoochieTaker comeback to the Darkside.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 I forgot about Kane No, he was drafted by RAW, suffered some kind of injury to his elbow, came back in August on RAW and has stayed. Only time he was on SD was for the above mentioned Undertaker segment after the "burial" at Survivor Series.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 The Rock / HBK is another dream match.

Guest PlatinumBoy Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 HBK has always been on RAW, Hogan was always on Smackdown, and Nash on RAW.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 However...Hogan has only been around for minimal amounts of time. Plus, he did wrestle on RAW several times as Champion, so technically he was part of both rosters at the time.
