LucharesuFan619 Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Larry Goodman confirmed on the NWA-Wildside.com message board that Jason Cross and Matt Sydal are booked for the Victory Road PPV. Bill Behrens - the head of NWA Wildside - has a lot of booking power in TNA and was integral in getting a lot of the Xplosion guys their spots, including Cross and Sydal (both have competed on TNA PPV before). It'll be interesting to see how they're used. No way they'll book them in a singles match, since neither guy is a regular TNA character. Maybe an X Division Gauntlet or something where they can feed them to the dogs (Styles, Skipper, Petey, etc.). Cross vs. Sonjay would be sweet, but Sonjay doesn't seem to be competing as often as he used to. CREDIT: http://nwa-wildside.com/forum/index.cgi?read=25076
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Considering they need fresh meat to job in the X-Division 20-Man Rumble, I'm not surprised at least one of those two made the cut.
LucharesuFan619 Posted November 1, 2004 Author Report Posted November 1, 2004 Unfortunately, you're probably right. They'll likely be in and out faster than you can say Stem Cell Research...oops...wait...I'm thinking of Delirious.
Mecha Mummy Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Jason Cross will probably get a bit of time because he at one point was a TNA regular for like a couple months, so they'll touch on that and maybe let him get a bit of offense including a Shooting Star Legdrop attempt, but not much more than that. Sydal, meanwhile, I doubt will get much time.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Awesome. I really like what I've seen of Sydal, and Cross is allways good for a nice highspot or two. New (or old returning) faces in the X-D is allways a good thing.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Sonjay was injured for a while. He's be at the PPV and is wrestling now.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 It appears that the plan for this x match is to just get one guy from every little promotion in the country in hopes that it will spark interest in that feds fanbase. Seems a little desperate to me. This PPV truely has no direction. I can't figure out why they are doing it.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Who cares about them when LA PARKA is going to be in there.
