Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 2, 2004 I think Sacramento and San Antonio are overrated. Pacific division and Northwest will be surprisingly strong this year with the Jazz and Suns getting a bit more talented. I don't like to make predictions, but I severely doubt the Heat are going to be that much better with just Jones, Wade, and Shaq.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 The Spurs has been in the playoffs for the past 5 years making it to deep into the playoffs and won 2 championships. That is not overrated but a proven fact. The only way to defeat the Spurs in the playoffs is to cheat-to-win with phantom ref calls with time management FUCK YOU LAKERS. All of the important players have been signed to long term contracts so expect another season with the Spurs having one of the best records in the West. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 2, 2004 The Kings just got manhandled all preseason. And while I know that preseason means nothing, it certainly can tell you some things and it's told me the Kings are gonna have their worst season in sometime. Phoenix will take over what Sacto and Dallas used to and that's throw up 110 points every night. The difference is they might actually stop people here and there. Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire are very good defensive players and Johnson and Q will put forth effort at least. It'll be interesting.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 Let's watch Tony Parker blow out his knee midseason... No worries since Brent Barry is the backup.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 ah fuck, alf predicted the Knicks to take the Atlantic, I might as well not even bother with this season...of course with a healthy Allan Houston, Stephon Marbury and Jamal Crawford, there's no reason for them to suck it up again this year, plus they will have a full season to gel under Lenny Wilkens coaching and Marbury running the point... Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 The Knicks should be good if Tim Thomas gets his head out of his ass, although Ariza has looked great in preseason. We really need one more big man, someone like Shareef, to make a run at the conference finals atleast, this season. I look forward to seeing Ariza, Sweetney and Ariza develop this year though. You do know that Houston acquired Tracy McGrady? Yes and I'm excited about that. I'm hoping that the Yao/McGrady one-two punch will do something but I'm not expecting it to win a championship this season.

Don't underrated Juwan Howard either.

Guest HHH123007 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Yeah, Rasheed Wallace as WCW Champion is funny....
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 3, 2004 So does this mean the Pistons will go out of business in a few years? (reffering to WCW titles)

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Not only do the Pistons beat the Lakers but they job HHH out.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Not only did HHH job but he lost the loser leaves town match.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Detroit 87, Houston 79 I only caught the 4th quarter of this one. Rasheed was really on. If that quarter was any indication of the rest of the season, the Rockets won't be very much better than they were last year.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Rockets desperately need a PG and stay out of foul trouble. Detroit was good, but not that impressive like they were last year. I guess with the summer off and new additions, they're a little rusty. They'll get back to championship their form as the season goes on. BTW, I also find it extremely gratifying that this man has more championship rings than Karl Malone.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Chris Mihm is leading the Lakers with 16 points and Kobe has taken only one shot (but 3 assists). Very interesting.. (this is nearing the end of the first quarter, by the way)
strummer 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 lakers are destroying the Nuggets, and denver is making Chris Mihm look like Bill Walton in his prime
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Mihm supposedly was one of the big surprises in the preseason, good to see he's living up to his hype. He still looks a little lost out there though, except on offense where he's been putting up points. I guess it's weird for me missing an extra hundred pounds in the middle, but Mihm is playing pretty damn well regardless.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 *hangs head* Season starts out on a sour note for me as the Rockets lose and Lakers dominate.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Not looking good for the Nuggets now that Veshon Lenard leaves the court limping. It appears that it is an Achilles heel injury, he will be out several months.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Nice to know that, despite his team being down 15, K-Mart's #1 concern is still showboating following a putback dunk.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Wow, a torn Achilles for Lenard, they just said.
