They voted in identical #'s as in 2000. -=Mike Do you have a breakdown? I'm just curious to see. Torrie Wilson's homestate goes to Bush.

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Repubs seem to be picking up a lot of seats tonight. The Republicans were expected, in a worst case, to pick up 2 net seats. That was based on the expectation that they'd lose Illinois to Barack Obama as well as probably losing Colorado to Ken Salazar and Alaska to Knowles. However, the good turnout for Bush across the country could pull Pete Coors into the Senate in Colorado and help Lisa Murkowski retain in Alaska. That would mean ONE loss with a high chance of gains in South Carolina (done), North Carolina (done), Louisiana (Vitter is at 53% right now, so it depends on the percentage), Florida (deadlocked at 50-50) and South Dakota (Daschle-Thune is VERY close). The Republicans could get a net gain of 5-6 seats, which would be damn near incredible and guarantee they control the Senate for about 4-6 more years. Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Ohio is close but Florida seems like a given...then again it's completely understandable that they aren't making it offical.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 CBS has Bush with 209 without counting AZ yet. Based upon that, if Bush wins the following, he's got it without even winning Ohio: AZ, NV, WI, MI, and FL. All are very possible Bush wins at this point.

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Good: Spector's been declared the winner of the Pennsylvania Senate seat. Bad: That cunt Patty Murray is projected to retain in Washington. (She made a bunch of pro-OBL statements at one point)

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Mel Martinez is up by 1% in the Florida Senate race with 92% of the vote counted. That would be another Republican pickup, as that seat used to belong to a high-ranking Democrat.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Is anyone bothered that they have to put "(Incumbent)" next to W's name? Not really. everyother incumbant has it next to them. At that point, Frist and the other Republicans can tell the Democrats to fuck off if they try to filibuster votes that will go against them.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2004 Geez, according to CNN, Bush has a 300,000+ lead in Florida, with 93% reporting. Are those absentee ballots really going to make that much of a difference?

No, especially given that ALL of those votes would have to go to Kerry to make a difference (and going by history, they most certainly will not all be Democrat votes). All it means is that these fuckers won't call the election until tomorrow or later.
