Guest MikeSC Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Anglesault, do you have any political opinions that can stand on their own two feet, or are you simply a parrot? C'mon now. Stop trying to hijack this thread with your inane bitching. Israel, including Sharon, HAS tried peace. That is undeniable. They have reached out --- and Palestine proceeded to cut off their hand and blow up their house. Israel tried. Palestine never has. If Palestine WON'T strive for peace, then fuck all of them. -=Mike
Special K Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 It really stuns me, that the UN does not back up Israel. I can understand the unwillingness to war with Iraq, but anyone with a basic knowledge of diplomacy (you would think) would recognize that Israel is the good guy in this situation.

You'd have to make the mistake of assuming that the UN is on the side of the good guys. These are the same guys who won't even refer to what's going on in Sudan as genocide. -=Mike
Special K Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 I wouldn't say they're on the side of the badguys, but they are completely ineffectual at this point. God, how much money do those delegates get paid to talk in circles?

God, how much money do those delegates get paid to talk in circles? I'll say it --- they're on the side of the bad guy. Oil-For-Food was a REAL bad scandal where the UN ignored rampant corruption (Kofi's son was buried in it) and they basically stole money to pay for food for Iraqis for their own benefit. The make-up of such entities as the human rights commission is a cruel joke. BTW, for pure joy, Arafat desires to be buried in Jerusalem and Israel has said no. -=Mike

Don't be stunned, the UN is incredibly anti-semetic. Not suprising when so many members come from Arab countries and European countries with growing Muslim population to cater too, plus oil deals with Arab countries and anti-semetism in their past. I really have no idea how Israel was ever ratified to tell you the truth, I believe it barely was, in fact as the US I believe was the deciding vote (per usual standing up for what's right). I mean, is Sudan still on the human rights commitee or some stupidity? Who can take the UN seriously anymore. It is was it is, a conglomorate of corruption and self-interests.

And Arabia, last time I checked. Hell, if not for our veto, the Security Council would be neck-deep in resolutions condemning Israel. -=Mike
