Guest MikeSC Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Steve Spurrier said "no" to Florida. So, what the heck is he planning on doing? Any ideas? -=Mike
therealworldschampion Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Maybe he's not going to coach anymore after all. What about Florida? I imagine Urban Meyer will be the top candidate for the job now.
razazteca Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 According to the ESPN debate shows there is a chance that Spurrier could be the next coach for the Dolphins or coach one of the California college teams.
Guest Brian Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 University of Washington? They'll throw a ton of a money his way with very little expectations for the short-term.
Guest MikeSC Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I know S.Carolina would turf Holtz to get him. -=Mike
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Like they said on ESPN a couple of days ago, Spurrier will go to wherever the best golf courses are.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 He's probably going to max and relax, because I'm sure he's still getting checks from Mr. Snyder...
Slayer Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 He could go to Texas when they dump Brown
Damaramu Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 He could go to Texas when they dump Brown I'm almost positive that him and Stoops said they wouldn't coach against one another unless it was a national title game.
Guest MikeSC Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Like they said on ESPN a couple of days ago, Spurrier will go to wherever the best golf courses are. Hmm, my alma mater might not be that bad an option. Hilton Head has some bloody lovely courses. -=Mike
The Man in Blak Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 there is a chance that Spurrier could be the next coach for the Dolphins The Dolphins are desperate, but they're not stupid.
sfaJack Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 He could go to Texas when they dump Brown I'm almost positive that him and Stoops said they wouldn't coach against one another unless it was a national title game. I think I remember hearing that, too. Stoops would kick his ass anyway. And Texas isn't going to fire Brown.
2GOLD Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Spurrier is going to the bank to continue cashing those monster checks Daniel Snyder still owes him. Spurrier would be giving up close to...I think 10 million dollars if he takes a job in the NFL now. He's an egomaniac, but I don't think he's a completely stupid one.
Slayer Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Texas isn't going to fire Brown. In due time I think they will, he's got John Cooper syndrome
2GOLD Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Texas isn't going to fire Brown. In due time I think they will, he's got John Cooper syndrome He'd be gone after this year if I was the AD. He cannot get Texas over the hump and after awhile, that hump leads to a poor recruiting class and that is the last thing the Longhorns need. It's time Texas made a change at coach.
Damaramu Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Honestly the problem Texas has with OU is coaching. If they had a different head coach that made better decisions.......I bet they would've beaten OU this year.
