ROH Weekend of THUNDA~!

Recommended Posts

--> Jimmy Rave def. Ace Steel with a Rave Clash.

--> Homicide def. Dunn, Fast Eddie, and Angeldust. Homicide pinned Angeldust after a Cop Killer.

--> The Carnage Crew def. Maff and Whitmer in a Boston Street Fight. Allison Danger came out, Whitmer went after her, The Carnage Crew hit Maff with a Con-Trash Can-To.

--> Low Ki def. Chad Collyer. Low Ki faked an injury and attacked Collyer. Low Ki ends up winning with a double stomp.

--> Nigel/Walters def. Samoa Joe/Jay Lethal in a Dream Partners match. Suppose to be MOTN up until this point with a very good ending. Nigel had Lethal in a submission while Watlers kept Joe on the outside of the ring. Lethal kept calling for Joe to help him...but Joe never came and Lethal tapped out.

--> The Outcast Killaz def. some ROH students

--> Austin Aries def. CM Punk with 450 on the knee and a half boston crab. The lights went out twice during the match.

--> The Pitbulls def. Gen-Next (Evans and Strong). Suppose to be MOTN.

--> Liger def. American Dragon with a top rope brainbuster.

Notes:

--> Homicide ran down Boston and the Red Sox after his match. A fan ran in, but security got him.

--> Joe challenged Nigel for the next Boston show.

--> After his match, Punk said Cabana will get revenge on Aries at the next Boston show.

Night 2 is tonight.

I was there. Really good show, and better than the last one I went to (which was last years abysmal Punk/Raven cage match).

Danielson played heel during the match, although they did the raising of each others arms at the end. I figured they'd work an epic given they'd want to get their moneys worth with Liger, and Danielson can go, but it was a shorter contest than I'd hoped. Still very good though.

That fan that hopped the rail got the SHIT beat out of him by the Rottweilers. He managed to get into the ring, so Romero and Reyes sat on him while Homicide kicked/stomped him. Low Ki came out from the back too. As they were dragging the guy away Homicide hit him AGAIN, stole his Boston hat, and asked if any Yankees fans wanted to spit in it, which a few did. All I have to say is to run in on Homicide alone, nevermind Romero and Reyes also, takes a lot of balls, a lot of liquor, or a lot of stupidity. I'm banking on choices two and/or three.

Here are the results for The WOT, night 2, taken straight from the RoH forums.

I just got off the phone with my buddy and his memory doesn't serve him very well, despite his lack of affinity for the sweet cheeba, so don't hate me if some of the stuff is mixed up. Here ya go:

Nigel McGuiness defeated Chad Collyer ~ Nigel was more British than ever. Bizarre Jackie Chan style displayed by Nigel, whatever the frick that means.

Loc & Devito wrecked two more students ~ Looks like the students are the new Special K, huh? (My thoughts, not his)

Izzy defeated Jack Evans, Trent Acid and Fast Eddie

Jimmy Rave defeated Jay Lethal ~ Prince Nana was very pleased with the outcome of this match.

Gary Michael Cappetta came out and said he had spoken with Jim Cornette recently and Corny wants to stand across the ring and trade verbal blows with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. He also announced that this proverbial **** would be hitting the fan on Dec. 4th when ROH returns to the RexPlex.

CM Punk & Ace Steel defeated Austin Aries & Rod Strong in a No DQ match ~ Absolutely brutal match, scary bumps abound. Evans introduced the ladder into the match as promised and tables were shattered as well. After the match, Punk cut a promo on Samoa Joe and said he wants a no time limit match for the belt. Joe didn't come out, but Mick Foley did. He shilled his new book, put over Joe v. Punk and buried TNA. Well, maybe not bury... WWE's name was getting boos from the crowd when Foley said "At least it isn't TNA", which got a huge pop and a "F TNA" chant. Nice. Punk practiced Foley's trademark cheap pop and then Mick said Joe might be softcore before intermission.

Punk sat in the ring during intermission, even getting water and a magazine from a ROH youngboy. Punk wouldn't leave after intermission when Dunn & Marcos and Dixie & Angel Dust came out. After ripping on Joe, the champ finally came out, accepted Punk's challenge (maybe?) for Dec. 4th and then took Punk down and told him to be more prepared next time around.

My buddy wouldn't put over the RCE match. He decided it wasn't important and stopped trying to remember whether he heard rave music or hair-metal when the match ended. To my buddy who wishes to remain anonymous: You suck, Dunn & Marcos OWN YOU and deserve better. Damn it.

My guess is that Dunn & Marcos won, but who knows...

John Walters defeated Homicide by DQ in the Pure Title match ~ Very shady recount of the match here. He said the match seemed to fall apart after a few minutes. The crowd may have been burned out after the awesome Saint-GenNext No DQ match, but they just didn't seem into this one. J Smokes was his usual brilliant self. They may have done an injury work/shoot kind of thing... He said Gabe seemed to be begging Homi not to continue after a bad bump or something, the match continued however. Homi choked Paul Turner to stop a three count at one point and J Train finally broke up a sharpshooter for the DQ. The Rotts jumped Walters afterwards and GET THIS - Julius Smokes gave Walters a MOTHER****ING PILEDRIVER. Booya. Oh yeah, and Walters donned a fan's Red Sox cap for about ten seconds before realizing that he is a moron. What a dick. I know you're happy that your asswipe team finally won something, but you're in ****ing New Jersey asswipe. I hope you got shot, you Beantown f#ck.

Sorry.

The Havana Pitbulls retained the tag belts over Maff & Whitmer ~ Maff teased the People's Elbow, but did a cannonball instead. (My buddy called it a Dick Togo thingy, hahah)

Samoa Joe & Jushin Lyger defeated Bryan Danielson and Low Ki when Lyger pinned his little bitch AmDrag. Note that Lyger ate mad offense, Ki is a great heel and Joe got Jushin to do his Ole kick.

Attendance was at least 1,000 and Dec 4th is the fastest presale in ROH history bitches.

Don't shoot the messenger.
