Guest jm29195 Report post Posted November 6, 2004 Since the mass firings earlier this week, I've seen the firings by wwf in 95 brought up several times as a similar event, I'm just wondering what happened then, ie who was fired and why?
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2004 On Scott Keith's LJ, someone mentioned it as being Diesel, Razor Ramon, Ted Dibiase, The 1-2-3 Kid, Jeff Jarrett, Mabel, Tatanka, and Lex Luger.

snuffbox 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I thought most of those guys left the WWF for WCW.... Maybe it was a bunch of mid/undercard guys that were fired.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 7, 2004 People that suddenly disapeared in the spring-summer of 1995 off the top of my head... Jim Niedhart (could've been sooner) Well Dunn Jimmy Delray King Kong Bundy Tatanka (he came back for a month in '96) Mantaur Bushwackers (also came back briefly in 96) Nikolai Volkoff
Slayer 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Most of those left on their own. On top of that, Nash, Hall and Waltman were in the WWF well into '
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Diesel - Left in April 96 for WCW Ramon - See Diesel Dibiase - See Ramon/Diesel The Kid - Fired for drug problems. Luger - Contract Expired and left to WCW Mabel - Hung around til the Spring of 1996 Jarrett - Quit Tatanka - Fired Only 2 of those people were fired, and 1 was for a legit purpose. Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Mabel - Hung around til the Spring of 1996 False, left before that in January 1996 after the Royal Rumble.
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 7, 2004 IRS, Kama, Dean Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Kama was in the '96 Rumble, so he wasn't one of them.
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Kama was in the '96 Rumble, so he wasn't one of them. But I'm talking about 95-96 firings since people have started to talk about 96 ones too. Come on think with all perspectives.
Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Diesel - Left in April 96 for WCW Ramon - See Diesel Dibiase - See Ramon/Diesel Dibiase left in May 1996
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 7, 2004 ...Wow, 3 weeks really makes a difference. I'm assuming Dibiase already put his notice in by April 1996, because thats when the Austin/Vega angle started for Beware of Dog, and I simply meant he left WWF for WCW around the time of Nash/Hall. Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted November 7, 2004 Except he didn't leave at the same time Nash and Hall did, Beware of the Dog Nash and Hall didn't happen, Beware of the Dog Dibiase did. Dibiase left after, not at the same time as them. You can't give an inaccurate fact and say you meant around the same time. Just say around the same time or give the right fact. Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 When was Kama released? I thought the time he was off of TV between "The Supreme Fighting Machine" and The NOD he was just hurt or off TV because they didn't have anything for him. Far as I know he was under contract the whole time..... Jim Niedhart (could've been sooner) Well Dunn Jimmy Delray King Kong Bundy Tatanka (he came back for a month in '96) Mantaur Bushwackers (also came back briefly in 96) Nikolai Volkoff That sounds about right. Bundy, Tatanka and Volkoff were let go when they phased out Dibiase's corporation, Heavenly Bodies were taken off TV and when Pritchard returned he was "Zip." I think Well Dunn may have been sooner, Neidhart was only used short-term for the Bret/Owen feud and was gone by early 95. Also, add Bigelow to the list as he was booked like shit and WWE showed no interest in retaining him/encouraged him to leave in late 95. There was a lot of turnover in 95/96, so I'm sure there are others.... I don't remember any sort of massive layoff like this 10 in 3 days shit we've seen, so unless the people mentioning this can give a definitive list with dates I think it's just a case of time clouding people's memorys
