Guest Thrashist Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Don't forget Henry Winkler jumping over the shark. For a while this episode was titled "Tender Crisp Chicken Comedy Half Hour" but they later changed it to "Motherboy XXX". Both titles were really odd, but both make so much sense after watching the thing. What an awesome episode. After the last few episodes had a bit of a different feel (while still being hilarious), this one was back to normal. Can't wait to download it.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Another great episode. Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to get some Burger King

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2005 Also in the 8 p.m. hour were Fox's fading The Simpsons (Overnights: #3, 6.1/ 9; Viewers: #4, 8.68 million; A18-49: #2, 4.0/10) and the critically acclaimed but minimally seen Arrested Development (Overnights: #4, 4.5/ 7; Viewers: #4, 6.33 million; A18-49: #4, 2.9/ 7), and a repeat of the WB's Charmed (Overnights: #5, 2.1/ 3; Viewers: #5, 2.56 million; A18-49: #5, 1.2/ 3). WATCH THE FUCKING SHOW.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2005 The perfect episode, quite possibly the best I've seen so far. My favorite exchange follows. It had me in tears, one of the greatest and funniest things ever: *in the attic* Michael - I think it's getting a little too risky keeping you up here. George Sr. - Yeah, you know what's risky? Letting your son go on that church thing. Michael - Well her name's Ann dad, and he's not "going on her", ok, their just friends.

George Michael with the light saber STEVEHOLT! his father is GOB!!!!!! Robot Maid The SLUT T-shirt came back, too, in George-Michael's video. "Was that really you with the lightsabre?" Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Gob playing out Chicago, then switching to Star Wars was gold.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 I didn't even catch the SLUT shirt in there. I hope Observer-Picayune breaks down the whole montage for us because all I caught was Bananagrabber. Look, a seagull
treble 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Lindsay was wearing it when they had the shot of her and Mrs. Featherbottom hanging off of George-Michael and talking about how the ladies love him. "Young or old, it doesn't matter!"

Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 That was the Ditech loan guy in the Office Magic bit with GOB Ahhh. I thought it was him, but wasn't sure. But yeah, absolutely hilarious episode.
treble 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 "I'm calling it 'Tricks' *letmefinish* 'Around the Office'" was a nice call-back to "What about pasta *letmefinish* salad?" when Gob was asking Kitty what you could eat when you're on Atkins.
ZGangsta 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 Oh man, that was an amazing episode. But it's almost like the show is getting TOO self referential to ever attract an audience. I mean there were times tonight when I would just die laughing at a joke because I'd seen every episode and ogt it, but the people I was watching it with had no idea what was so funny. But who cares, I love the show. And did anyone catch the Frank Wrench reference when Tobias was on the phone in the bathroom? Another part that killed me was the sort of sinister organ version of "The Final Countdown" that played during the big reveal at the end. Oh, and who's the "Ditech loan guy?" I don't recall that. And I must have missed the part tonight with Bannanagrabber?
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2005 "I lost another loan to ditech.com!!!!" That guy Bananagrabber only appeared for the shortest of moments, in GOB's video, he flashed on the screen really quickly
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 I just realized why TSM loves Arrested Development so much. The show is so self-referential it makes your head spin.
