Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Is their album Babylon any good? I'm digging "Nobody", but does the rest of the album match up? I'm kinda digging teh whole Reggae/Metal/Punk sound. So, yay or neigh on Babylon?
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I heard one song by them, "Nobody," and I mistook it for a KoRn single. I'll pass, thank you.

Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 9, 2004 Okay then. Glad I posted this instead of buying it straight away. Now I can buy the Muse CD at their concert. w00t, or something. I need coffee.

Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Skindred = WORST. And Skindred is not better than Muse.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Ive had the Skindred cd since it was released. Nobody and the song right after it are great, but the rest of the cd has the same sound as Nobody, and gets kind of boring after a while. I give it a 6/10. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Skindred > Muse Corey, I'm not good at the whole music thing, but even I can tell Skindred isn't as good as Muse, so I think you need to quit posting while intoxicated.

Guest P!NK. Report post Posted November 11, 2004 Hey, it's pretentious reggae-metal, but it's openly pretentious reggae-metal. You can't go wrong with a car crash like that. And Muse is okay if you ignore the fact that they're a low-rent Bends-era Radiohead.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 11, 2004 I can ignore the fact that they're whatever the hell you said, because I haven't heard any radiohead. At least nothing that left any sort of lasting impression. I don't think I've heard any... Bah, let's just say I have no fucking clue what you mean!
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 What else is new? You having no fucking clue what people are talking about, I mean. Of course, that's usually because you're too busy shoving your face between Swiggy's legs, but alas.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 11, 2004 He's branching out. Here kid, I'll throw you a bone. If you're interested in mixing together some tribally dredlocks with a metal band, get some Sepultura, like..Chaos AD. That's their most accessible album, although I think Beneath The Remains is their best.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 11, 2004 Thanks OaO. And I think my last post made me look like a dumbass (well, moreso than usual) so Sorry. me not sleeping and posting don't mix.
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 The main problem with Skindred is that they aren't as good as singer Benji's previous band Dub War, who were pretty damn revolutionary in the early 90's, being a group of Welsh metallers who mixed reggae with metal long before crossovers were really in vogue. Anyone who even vaguely likes Skindred needs to check out the Dub War albums "Pain" and "Wrong Side Of Beautiful", both on Earache records. I'd certainly take both Skindred and Dub War before a group of pretentious tossers like Muse anyday of the week.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted November 12, 2004 Good God, can you all leave me ONE band I started likeing on my own? Please? I mean come ON, I can't suck THAT badly at music... But I will check out soem Dub War. Any particular songs?
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2004 "Strike It" was a rock club staple in the late 90's and is probably their best song. "Million Dollar Love", "Cry Dignity" and "Enemy Maker" (their biggest UK hit at No 41) are all great too.
Guest COCOPUFFS Report post Posted November 13, 2004 I heard one song by this band on the radio, and I wasn't impressed.
