NoCalMike Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 I know Bam made CKY, and Knoxville had his lesser known tape series, and I know Knoxville made a few appearances on CKY and was listed as "special thanks" on CKY. So is that the extent of their relationship, or did they do more collaborative work pre-Jackass?
jimmy no nose Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 There is no relation at all pre-Jackass. Knoxville only makes brief appearances in CKY 3 and 4 well into Jackass's run. I don't know if he was thanked in CKY2k, but it came out a bit after Jackass started so he may have. They only knew of each other and were mutual fans of the other.
Golgo 13 Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 The story as I've heard/read it was that Knoxville and Bam met through Big Brother Magazine, where Johnny was working at the time. A couple years later videos by Big Brother featuring Johnny got big, as did Bam's CKY stuff. Knoxville approached MTV about a show, he suggested bringing in the CKY crew, and that was it.
justsoyouknow Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Apparently Bam is pissed at Knoxville, because due to legal reasons or something, Knoxville is getting all of the profits for Jackass and leaving everyone else out in the cold.

justsoyouknow Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Party boy lives in his truck. I read some magazine interview a while back with Bam and in it he said that the reason he has all of his friends live with him is because Knoxville took all of the profits and they were left with nothing. My memory could be fuzzy, though. It makes sense though why they're all on Viva La Bam, because he's trying to make it up to them.
NoCalMike Posted November 9, 2004 Author Report Posted November 9, 2004 I know Knoxville appeared in the "Shit" video series, which is basically like CKY, just different in the aspect that there is not all these comedic skits between the stunts.

Well the Viva La Bam crew should be living good after the CKY profits unless Bam Margera kept all that money to himself too. Maybe instead of destroying his house 100 times year he should build each one of his friends one to live in. Also, Knoxville was just on Viva La Bam this past episode, and made Bam look like a little bitch in the prank war. So it looks like any animosity is over.
Mole Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Yeah but since Bam hasn't seen Knoxville in about a year, I would have thought that Bam would have given him a better greeting. They just shook hands and gave a half-ass hug.
EricMM Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Dude he fucked up his car... *EDIT* ALTHOUGH I am in favor of the thrashing of all Hummers...
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Bam pretty much got his ass handed to him in the prank war. But poor Knoxville. Coming back to your hotel room and seeing a shirtless Don Vito lying in your bed is not a pretty sight. I noticed Compton Ass Terry was around, but didn't say or do much. And how did Bam get Sean Penn to appear on the show?
UZI Suicide Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 ^^ I think Sean Penn's son is a big fan of Bam's, so that's probably how. About Compton Ass Terry.. he said a line last night that most people probably didn't hear but I was cracking up.. when Knoxville glued all the pool balls together and Bam hit the cue ball and it just bounced off and went into the pocket, Compton Ass Terry was like.."man that's like the Matrix or some shit"

Guest El Satanico Posted November 10, 2004 Report Posted November 10, 2004 The Prank War episode was hilarous and probably the best episode of the series. I also loved in the Civil War episode where they drive up in the jeep to steal the cannonball and respond to Vito telling them "there's no Jeeps in the civil war" by saying "We're from the future".
