Here's the press release the company sent out on the event:

Best Damn Sports Show Period & TNA Wrestling Team Up for Primetime

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- FSN's Best Damn Sports Show Period will air two 90-minute professional wrestling specials in conjunction with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling called "Best Damn Wrestling Events Ever."

The shows air November 10 & 11 at 8 p.m. (check local listings) and are part of a week long celebration of professional wrestling called "Best Damn Wrestling Week Period."

The stars of BDSSP: Tom Arnold, John Salley, Bryan Cox, Chris Rose and LeeAnn Tweeden will all get a crash course in professional wrestling from the TNA wrestling superstars --- some more than others.

Actor and BDSSP co-host Tom Arnold is scheduled to referee a hardcore "Midget Match."

"I've been with a lot of big women, but never with little men. It's going to be a new and exciting experience for me," said Arnold.

Former NFL Pro-Bowl linebacker Bryan Cox has recently had a "war of words" with TNA superstar and former NFL player Monty Brown. Who knows what will happen when these gridiron greats step into the six-sided ring?

Chris Rose will be the special guest in the infamous segment known as, "In the Pit with Piper," hosted by the unpredictable wrestling legend, Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's weekly show, "iMPACT!" airs Fridays on FSN at 3:00 p.m. (check local listings).

"Our relationship with FSN has been a great one," said Dixie Carter, President TNA Entertainment. "We are happy to welcome 'Best Damn Sports Show Period' to the 'iMPACT! Zone' and look forward to showcasing both programs' talented stars in these specials."

The alternative for the true wrestling fan, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling prides itself on delivering quality, family programming that is clean, innovative, cutting edge and with the high-risk, high-flying athleticism that TNA Wrestling is known for. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling "iMPACT!" airs Fridays at 3:00 p.m. on FSN (check local listings). TNA "Xplosion" is a syndicated program (check local listings). TNA Wrestling pay-per-views are available on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, Viewers Choice Canada, Bell ExpressVu and Shaw Communications. Bringingin TOM ARNOLD? I know he hosts the show, but couldn't they get someone people DON'T hate? Is Dustin Diamond available to knock Tiny the Timekeeper out again?

They said all along that they were doing the special in conjunction with, not in place of, the Best Damned Sports Show Period, so of course the hosts of the show would be involved.

I don't see this listed in my TV listings on Dish Network. If you have that service, the channel is 420 isn't it?

It's just where the Best Damned Sports Show listings are.

I don't even see The Best Damn Sports Show Period listed there.

Big fucking surprise.

PHILADELPHIA DOESN'T GET TO SEE THESE TNA SPECIALS.

FUCK YOU TNA.

At all? I figured they'd just be showing it later like they're doing in Baltimore/DC.

EDIT: According to Comcast Philadelphia's website, they're showing BDSSP (the special) at 11.

I just wanted to say the following once more.

I haven't kept up with TNA for a while now, but I thought I'd dive back in this week. I downloaded this past weeks Impact and Victory Road, and I enjoyed both. I am not going to review anything, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed what I saw, and I'll start to get into TNA more and more in the future.

If you have heard me in the WWE folder lately, I'm getting pretty sick of what I see for the most part. I still watch WWE, I always will, but it's got to the point where I don't give a damn about what I see on their programs. So maybe that's why I enjoyed TNA so much, it just feels different. I got the same little ruse from TNA that I got when I was watching the Monday Night Wars. Sure not everything was worth being aired, but it just has a certain feeling to me.

I even got pumped up when I saw Spanky come out on Impact and when Jackie came out on the PPV. Then just seeing Mike Tenay, Scott Hudson, Dusty, Nash, Hall, Jarrett, Savage, and all the other WWE/WCW guys out there was pretty cool to me. Add to all of that the fact that TNA has action and younger talent that you just wont ever see in WWE, very nice production values, very interesting fan reactions, the new six-sided ring, and it makes for something that I'm willing to give a shot.

I know that most who have watched TNA from the start are saying that the PPV was lacking, but for someone like me, it was a breath of fresh air, something that I've really needed lately seeing how WWE has been so horrible to me here lately.

Two thumbs up from me so far.

You know what? What the Fuck do you want them to do? It's on Fox Sports. If you don't get it - tough shit. I don't get it here in Buffalo, but I have DirecTV so I can watch it if I want. They're lucky that they actually have 2 shows on a semi-national cable channel. That's more than anyone else besides WWE has been able to do in the last 3 years.

Saying Fuck TNA isn't even accurate

TNA isn't doing this, it's Best Damn Sports Show Period. It's an episode of Best Damn. Take it up with them, TNA had NO say in the scheduling AT ALL.

I popped when Jarrett came up and hit Rose with a Guitar Shot. I've liked it so far.

I have a big question

How come everyone BUT the actual former company (WWE) can say "WWF?"

Jeff Hammond said that Jeff Jarrett was a former "WWF" Intercontinental Champion.
